it differs on a class to class basis, but if you can single target 25k(with buffs) you're pulling your own weight. its possible to get a lot higher. but 25k and no one can really point fingers (keep in mind that there will always be top 1% top players, and some of them aren't very patient with anything under 35k, best to ignore that for now)

His Stamina Templar starter version uses all craftable gear (except Agility set), and he has a 300 CP version so it fits you just about perfectly.
From there it's all about keeping up your DoT's at all times, using your Ultimate immediately when it is up, using tri-potions for sustain and damage, heavy attacks as much as needed, and spamming Biting Jabs if everything else is taken care of.
Also don't forget to weave those light attacks (press LMB just before each skill, cutting of the animation with the skill). That alone should get you a 3-5k damage increase.
25k DPS at ~CP200 means you have very good gear and a perfect rotation.
Realistically, newer players (you) don't have either of those yet. What's nice, though, is that you can dramatically improve your rotation just by standing in front of a target dummy for an hour. You'll notice massive gains the more you practice.
You can also pretty easily acquire an almost-top gear set that will last you a long, long time.
Set yourself a goal of 15k DPS. If you can hit that where you are right now, you are on the right track!!
15-20k is reasonable. Sure, if I take my Stamplar in BIS gear and lower my CP to that level, I would expect to be closer to 25k, maybe pushing 30k, but that isnt a reasonable thing to expect if you havent done the rotation a thousand times or are missing things like a VMA bow, etc. I would make 20k in mostly crafted gear (purple armor, gold weapons and enchants) your goal. That is good for all craglorn vet trials, and any Non-DLC Vet dungons. If you a a rockstar with mechanics, there isnt much you cant clear at that level.
