  1. How do i know what skill line is best for me. When i first started out i played as a high elf AD Nightblade???? gosh its been so long i cant remember if that's even right. Well it was the skill line that had the lightning lol Id really like a skill line that is easy to manage when in battle with the monsters in the world. Now i had someone try to explain to me what a Tank , healer exc are and i do understand the Healer one but the rest of those im not sure i quite grasp... i dont think tho. maybe i do get what tank is? I've done so much research on the skill lines exc it just made me more confused and frustrated.I know i prefer a sword over a bow but at the same time i didnt like that i had to be right up front in the action when playing with a group of others doing the dolmens exc...
  2. What skill line is most needed? i know with the coming of summer-set everyone will want to try that new skill line so i probably wont do that one.....
  
  If i re join would someone like, be willing to try to walk me though just the main quest line an help me reach level 50 in like maybe 3 weeks and not leave me in the dust and help explin and guild me though the main quest lines together with me? ( granted i know a few of those are solo...) and teach me how to graft my own gear and stuff too? If you take up this task with me i have discord we could talk/ voice there. youd have to be in the USA time zone area so we can easily collaborate better on meeting up playing on certain days we have available exc....
  
  I just really want to get this right this time and actually have fun playing ESO.

  But dont worry, the game got much friendlier for beginners now. But the most important thing is to understand the basics of the game. I just assume you picked up gear you found back there, used magicka and stamina costing skills to do damage and invested into health to be able to survive longer?
  First off, characters normally rely only on either magicka or stamina to deal damage. Therefore you only invest attribute points in one of them. For example you have chosen a highelf sorcerer back there (the one with lightning abilitiers are sorcerer, not nightbladrs ). In your case you could have go for only magicka, so putting attribute points into magicka would have increased your max magicka pool. Now you ask, why you should do that. Damage of a skill in this game depends on your stats, so if you use a skill costing magicka, it benefits from having a high max magicka pool, high spelldamage and high spellcrit and the other way round for stamina abilities. Sets can further push your stats and again increase your damage, again making the game easier. With a good amount of damage, overland content gers easier (ok worldbosses are hard to kill solo, when you arent experienced). There are a lot if sets out focussing on either magicka or stamina. Some sets are crafted, others can be bought or drop from enemies. To make it even easier to further stregthen your damage: there are three armor types. Light armor is for magicka users and gives you again damage, medium is for stamina characters and gives them more damage. Heavy armor is for tanks and therefore isnt really used to do overland content.
  The game atm is much more beginner friendly. There is kind of a skilladvisor, which gives you some tipps which skills you could use. Also you always scale to the max level and therefore there are no enemies in higher levels than you are. Also there are a lot of sets dropping in overland content, which will give you a good boost to your strength.
  So why not start a new character, try to understand the skill advisor, certainly look out for a beginner friendly guild and hopefully somebody here in the forum may add you ingame, so he can you help oit even better.

  Having just returned myself after 3 + years gone (Craglorn?) I can feel your struggle. I have 3 50's but am letting them sit until Summerset drops and see what plays out. In the meantime I have rolled a few new classes and yes, the game has gotten "easier" in a sense with the skill advisor, very good!, and the capping of mob levels to you. Makes it less of a grind as you can go to new places.
  You are on the right path coming here. Folks here in just the past week have been a HUGE help to be so yea, the community has gotten friendlier! Yea, elitists are everywhere but just steer clear and listen and apply what many of the folks here have to say and you will be fine! Keep an eye on map chat as people advertise their Guilds so you might get lucky!
  Its is a very lengthy MMO, unlike GW2 which I just left....that game has insta level 80 so yea, no learning needed!
  And play whats fun...its a game first!

  I am going to assume you mean what Class is best for you? Hard to tell really. Personally I think you should have one character in each of the 5 classes.
  
  Magic Templar is the easiest one to get through the game solo, as your main attack heals you and you have an awesome self heal. So, roll that first. Then once you get that one to CP160, you can play on or roll other classes. Or both.
