Pve/Fun healer build

Good Monday morning everyone. So running many toons I haven’t touched in months thru the event I realized how much I enjoyed my max CP Templar healer.

I have never played one much outside of events or leveling. But I want also want to correctly learn the role of a healer before I go bonkers on a BIS gear. So what can I craft/Trader for a set up as I Pve/ random daily till I get a good feel for it .

As always thank you

    5 pieces seducer
    3 pieces willpower
2 pieces monster set of choice (personally I would go with 1 piece Zaan/Iceheart/Slimecraw + 1 piece Molag Kena)

random/generic restoration staff (Ruby Ash restoration staff)
random/generic lightning staff backbar (Ruby Ash lightning staff)

3 pieces of willpower will always be good to have, for dps as well.

Seducer is very cheap, very easy to make, and it gives you a lot of sustain.

No point in going 2 pieces monster set, imo. Chokethorn gives you a big (kinda useless) burst heal on a random player. Troll king is only really useful in PvP. Slimecraw is redundant (you're already using combat prayer, or at least you should).

Crit rating makes you healing crit (which means bigger heals) and spell power makes your heals hit harder (bigger base heals).

It's also good practice for when you decide to go for BiS gear, and may decide not to use a monster set.

In any case, before doing that, wait for Summerset to come out, just in case BiS is not what it is now.

Well, Kragenac hope is solid set that can make your ressurect player times ultra fast.
Set that is fairly easy to find and grind is Sanctuary. It will give you more health, magicka, healing taken and also your and group member heals will be 12% stronger. It can be found in Banished Cells.
If you don't have full monster set, you can always go for one shoulder piece. A lot of sets can benefit you and a group for a 1pc bonus. Any of these with healing done or magicka recovery, or max magicka is nice for start.

Unless you decide to do like I did and get every possible piece of it, wait for Summerset, just in case you decide to use the staff + jewelry set, instead of, like, body pieces.

Summerset will introduce 2 major changes: jewelrycrafting and 2handers counting as 2 pieces, so while it's true that SPC will most likely stay BiS for healers, which piece to use may change.

Craft Seducer, and grind for a Sanctuary set. Sanctuary is pretty easy to get, as it's a fairly easy dungeon that can be done on normal mode for the armor pieces. It's in Banished Cells as someone else mentioned.

Sorc is most fun class to heal with :p

Stendar you can buy has some niche uses

Seducer, deadric tricky, redistributor, magus gift are all crafted support sets for healing

I feel like CP160 crafted sets are more costly than just running a normal dungeon a few times for gear. Especially light armor, and especially if you have to buy the materials.

I would say run normal white gold tower a few times and get a SPC set, then maybe Vaults of Madness for Wormcult. Then you can practice healing with the sets while farming for purple jewelry on veteran.(Or wait for summerset to upgrade)

Kagrenac's Hope isn't a set you want to run. It's the DPS' job to resurrect people not the healer. If you stop to resurrect, you stop healing the tank and other DPS which can lead to wipes. Also, you don't want to run Monster Sets on a healer, at least not right now until twohanded counts as 2pc. Run 5 Spell Power Cure and 5 Worm, that's the BiS right now. For starting up healing, run Julianos and Seducers or Healers Habit.

When the change comes get Worm jewelry and staves and replace the worm shoulder and helmet pieces with a healing set like Earthgore, Chokethorn, Troll King or Rkugamz.

Idk why people think Kagrenacs Hope is a good set for healers...Its only good for PVP.

Welcome, Moon-and-Star, to this place where destiny is made.

I play healers or DPS often for vet dungeons and trials (NA, CP810+). I play mostly elves or Argonians.
I primarily play Damage-Based stuff in PvP, but occasionally I'll play something tanky or got the heals.
I also love gaining more knowledge both metaphysical and mundane regarding TES lore.

I also occasionally role-play, but I prefer playing the game.

spell power cure...its really not hard to grind the body pieces in normal WGT at all...aside from that, on my Warden tank/healer hybrid I use 5 piece Seducer and 5 piece alteration mastery...I can spam heals forever while tanking, not the strongest heals, but enough so that the healer in the group can DPS 90% of the time

3 items: Adds 12-1096 Maximum Magicka
4 items: Adds 1-129 Spell Damage
5 items: When you heal a friendly target that is at 100% Health, you have a 50% chance to increase their Weapon and Spell Damage by 3-258 for 10 seconds.

Thx for all the tips !!!
So just to get going with the healer today I threw together 5 Kag 5 Willpower 2 Sentinel as a start.

I’m a 9 trait master crafter and have plenty of AP/Gold so getting better stuff not a big issue.

Did both Normal pledges today Selenes and FG1 no deaths. But it’s a different view from a DPS to a Healer. I was constantly looking at teammates health.

But I def gotta run WGT and Vaults , I also heard Sanctuary set from BC isn’t bad either.

But it was fun playing something diff then a DPS since launch.

And Worm is only good if your group has Magic DPS. Many times I've gotten a group of Stam players thus making Worm useless.

I'd just throw on 5pc Julianos with a 3pc Willpower or Ancient's Grace. It's kinda ironic that basic DPS sets are also decent at casual Healing, cause really what matters most is your Magic and Spell Power/Spell Crit. If you have that down pat THEN you can start worrying about Utility and group support like Spell Power Cure. But be warned, White Gold Tower is a pain to farm, but thankfully with Summerset you won't need to farm Vet for the Jewelry anymore. Just do Normal, get the Blue Jewelry and then use the new Crafting to improve them yourself.

Kagrenacs would help you in PvP, but like someone else said Rezzing is not your job in PvE so the set wouldn't help.

If you're really looking for "My First Healing Sets", then the easiest set-up to get is probably:
    • 5 pieces of your choice of Julianos or Seducer (crafted)
    • 5 pieces of Mother's Sorrow

Add one piece of monster shoulders as soon as you start running dungeons and using keys.

The point is that ALL the stats on either set help healing and damage alike.

    Or perhaps even easier is:
    • 5 pieces of Seducer or Julianos
    • 3 pieces of Willpower
    • 3 pieces of any other magicka set

Also easy to get as a 5-piece dropped set is Worm; it drops in Vaults of Madness, which is an easy and fun dungeon. As a bonus, once you learn that dungeon well enough to do it in vet mode, you get the Grothdarr helm, which is the best DPS monster choice for templars who stay close enough to their enemies to use Puncturing Sweeps.

Honestly, because the BiS for stam builds are mostly crafted, and BiS for healer is mostly dungeon loot, DPS builds in general just seem way the hell more costly in my experience than healer or tank.

I spent sooooo much more building a well rounded Stamblade than a healer. And that's just with purple gear.

Healers get SPC for BiS mainbar and from there, have a huge number of options, from any damage set to any sustain set.
