"an error has occurred" everytime i try to login with a new character

since about 2 days ago every single time i log out to change a character i get that "an error has occurred" on PC EU.

now it takes a lot of tries until i get in the game again. it only says "an error has occurred".

i have no idea what's causing it but some times i took more than 10 minutes to be able to login.

this event is ruining the game. it should have finished a long time ago. please fix the login problem.

Usually it's an addon problem. Try disabling them.

It is not an add-on issue on PC EU - I play without any add-ons and it happens to me too sometimes. PC EU server is just messy at the time being and has lots of problems in regards to establishing and holding a connection.

I've had no problems with the PC EU server from the UK, I believe that @Lysette plays from South Africa, is that right? Where does the OP play from? Maybe it's a network issue, there have been a lot of power and outage problems affecting the network in Germany (where the server is) apparently.

We left south africa, playing from australia now.

IMO it is more a concurrency issue, the more players are in a region, the worse it gets - that is why I am playing now at a time, where not many play on the EU server. Then it is less frequently happening and I can often play for an hour without interruption.

I used to get this all the time. It was because I hadn't cleared my Master Merchant database in ages.

i'm having that error even during the day with no addons.

at this hour it works perfectly even with all my addons active, and i never cleared my MM database since MM exists

I fully agree this problem ONLY started about 2 days ago and seems to be getting worse.

When swapping chars for writs daily's to get the coffers it happens so often it makes it no fun at all.

Just now tried logging into a char, 6 times the error message appeared before I got in.

AFter less than 1 minute of starting to do something i was back at the game login wirndow.

ERROR 307: booted from server

needed to wait about 5 mins for "booted from server" to stop popping up on login.

Now I get the "error has occured" message again

I will wait until after the maint now (in 2 hrs) and see whats fixed.

Just in case you think it may be an addon issue I ppoint to it starting 2 sdays ago and I have not updated addons or added any more for over a week now.

Also: with the Jester event, there was a game introduced character logout delay which added about 50 seconds to each character logout. It was still there when the event was over and only disappeared after the post event maint.

50 secs x 14 chars = 11.5 mins (extra waiting time) when I add in the 2 x per day scroll through for Helper mails that came to over 30 mins a day extra just waiting time.

The events are good and fun. I wish the character switching was 'fun' too....
