WEREBEASTS OF TAMRIEL

I've got to say, one of the things that this game is missing is more werebeasts, we know that there are more than just werewolves in TES lore. So why does my khajiit or argonian have to be a wolf? why cant they be the werebeasts of their respective areas. I would love nothing more than to have a khajiit turn into a werelion instead of a werewolf. Not like it would even be that much effort, just some modeling and new textures with some sound files to match the new look. Vote up if you agree, comment your opinions and lets try to get zos to work a little ;)

Either we will get a skin (in the crown store more like) to make the werewolf into other were beasts. Or when a vampire/werewolf dlc lands there might be a rework/expanded skill lines.

We will wait and see :)

Most of the werebeasts were retconned for convenience sake. This isn't just ZOS's doing either. Skyrim was supposed to be infested with different kinds of werebeasts, if I remember correctly. I think Black Marsh had werecrocodiles or something. Each province had a few different ones except for Summerset and Morrowind I think. Too much work.
No one is saying there aren't multiple interpretations of the lore, and we're not arguing that ESO did it "wrong".

We're arguing that they decided to go for the most boring, mundane, seen-before interpretation possible. Like they almost always do, unless they can ride on the coat-tails of past games.

Actually, I believe there are werebats in Valenwood, in ESO. So there's that at least. Though I agree, it would be cool to see some of the other werecritters mentioned by the series... werebears and weresharks and Argonian werecrocodiles would be dope. But ultimately this is just one of these things that we'll probably never see because it's just too much work, like someone said.

Perhaps in the next single-player Elder Scrolls game, someone may make a dedicated addon for this or something.

I would love to see some more werebeast skins or something. It would be neat to see werebears, werecrocs, werelions, etc running around.

So in game, we have werewolves nearly all over Tamriel. Werebears are meant to inhabit all of Skyrim, northern High Rock, northern Morrowind and northern Cyrodiil. Werebats and Werevultures are found in Valenwood, but in game only Werebats can be found. Wereboars are usually found in High Rock and Hammerfell, and Werecrocodiles in Black Marsh and southern Morrowind. The wereshark is presumably found in the waters around Tamriel.

With this information, they could add a few Werebear NPC's to the Skyrim zones that haven't been released yet. Wereboar NPC's could likewise be added to Hammerfell zones that are as yet unreachable. And theres plenty of Black Marsh left to add Werecrocodiles, not to mention the Dres territory of southern Morrowind with the cities of Tear and Thorn. I reckon Weresharks will probably be left out of this game, especially considering we can't even swim underwater. As to player skins, I doubt we'll see any different lycanthrope skins available in game or the crown store, because they're hesitant to add something which would only be available to a certain number of players, as opposed to all.
So the Dark Elves have weird alien architecture, where people live in mushroom towers and the shell of a giant crab, but the High Elves, the pinnacle of technology, the most magically advanced race in Tamriel, are still stuck in slightly pretty, fairly tall stone buildings? Not even a hint of a glass city? Are stainless glass windows really enough to claim that a city is made of glass?

I always imagined Werecats to be like the Hindu Rakshasa . Fierce half man half tigers attracted by the sent of human flesh and blood . Ravenous appetites . There were some good and some evil .

its not too much work though, a couple new 3d models with appropriate textures and some new sound files, then implement those new models onto the race it would make sense being on. Zos is lazy I know but this is not too much work. they wouldnt even need to change animations which is the time consuming part so I think zos should put their big boy pants on and start working

The new chapter mentions Weresharks somewhere I think. They're still in the lore but as you say, for convenience much gets omitted. Like Imga ...
