Feedback: For 5,000 Crowns, Nuzhimeh the Merchant Should Repair Armor

Nuzimeh (the merchant who can be bought for 5,000 crowns from the crown store) should be allowed to repair armor. One of the more annoying pain points in the game is armor repair management. Allowing Nuzimeh to repair armor would help to alleviate annoying times when we, or someone in our group, forgets to repair armor, or runs out of repair kits, or leaves their repair kits on another character.

Thanks for listening.

@ZOS_Holden

Edit on 2/20/19
It has been about 10 months since I last brought this up. If the original feedback is not seriously being considered, then perhaps you could consider this alternate suggestion -- giving Nuzhimeh the ability to repair the armor of the person who summons her.

That change would make her feel more useful, at least, for the person who spent 5,000 crowns for the merchant -- without allowing players who haven't made the purchase to piggyback on others players' merchants (basically meaning every player still has a reason to buy the merchant and you can still sell repair kits).

I never buy repair kits, the only ones I actually have are Crown ones I got from crates and they just collect dust in my Inventory or Bank until that one fateful day where I head into a particularly trying Trial.

Agreed. I have a lot of characters with unpayable bounties. I want a wayshrine in my house, and to be able to go straight home from cyrodiil

I do not have one, but I totally agree with you. That is a lot of money for half of a merchant.

    Hello @GrumpyDuckling,

Thanks so much for your feedback. A summonable armor repair service sounds like a great idea, and we can definitely understand why players would like Nuzimeh to have this ability. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee your idea will make it into the game. That being said, your suggestions and feedback are important to us and we truly appreciate you taking the time to share them with us. Please don't hesitate to share any other feedback you may have for us in the future.

Id rather the merchant be able to grant you repairs as long as she is placed in your home. There has to be a reason for having repair kits.

Out of the two, banker not offering Guild bank and store is a WAY bigger issue. I have free repair kits coming out if my ears.

Both would be nice, ut ill take the fixed banker first

Yeah, repair kits are for the vast majority of players who aren't gonna drop 5k crowns on a portable vendor :p

That said, if the merchant DID repair damaged gear, I might actually buy it.

If you do master writs you get ton of them.
If not you can buy stacks.
Its only an issue on epic wipe feasts like doing an vet dlc with 3 others who has not done it.
You should always have some anyway, you might forget to repair and wipe some times.

The longer you have these assistants the less fussed you become with the lack of services and more frustrated by their constant moving around. Add to that, 9/10 times when i go to do something else, I can't find my assistant in towns without either running an in game mile or unsummoning them and re summoning them. All a huge unnecessary ballache.

At least make them stay still when I want to interact with them.

The banker is really bad about this. I feel like I"m playing a game of tag with them.

You are wrong. It is only when you are in Cyrodiil that you don't find merchants on streets that can repair your gear while you are selling stuff. You can find wandering merchants in almost every PvE zone. In Cyrodiil you will need to get to a keep

It could also have the reverse effect that wandering merchants in game world would be reduced. Right now it is fairly easy to find both wandering merchants and places like camps and quest hubs where you have access to vendors.

    so true.

even better when they seem to be actually running FROM you or if you are mid-inventory with the banker and try to do a transaction, only to find he's wandered off, yet again, and you have to chase him down. :)

Interesting... because the whole argument the devs put forth when they came out with banker who didn't offer guild store and merchant who didn't repair- is that they didn't want to make towns 'obsolete'. Although in reality, I think that they don't want to make 'Crown Store repair kits' obsolete!

Funny cause their decisions on monetization render the towns and the game in general obsolete already.

Repair kits are cheaper than vendor repair of you get them from a kiosk.

Also, I agree, that service should have been there all along!
And the banker needs to at lest stay put!

She also doesn't sell anything. It's not really a merchant in my opinion. Very underwhelmed when i used her in a dungeon last night. For 5000 crowns it needs to be a full merchant not a third of one.

Is the banker reduced in this way too?

I actually think having them being able to repair in dungeons might be a bit too much (it completely devalues actual repair kits). But I'd consider to to be perfectly reasonable to allow her the repair ability, if placed in a player home. This adds a layer of comfort while not changing anything meaningful. You could just fast travel to any other wayshrine with a merchant next to it.

I would love the ability to repair things. Even if it's just available at my home and not on the move/dungeons. I'd also like to be able to access my guild bank at home too, not as bothered about guild stores. I don't understand considering the cost of these assistants why they haven't got those functions.

Of course as someone said above they probably would bring out a new improved merchant and then jack the cost up <.<

This means we will have third assistant - armor repair. And fourth - weapon repair. Embrace the ZOS awesomeness.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

Didn't they say some time back that they were considering offering "upgrades" of these merchants in Crown Store where the merchant would also get access to repair and the banker would also get access to guild bank and guild store?

Like a premium version of these assistants - just more expensive, with the ability to upgrade the existing ones.

I swear I heard/read this somewhere, and that people got mad over it having just fledged out 5000 crowns for each.

I may be in the minority about this. I think someone said that if you do writs, you end up with repair kits. I my self will not pay to have my armour repaired. I have about 200 kits right know. I also find them in chests that I loot.

Plus you need a reason to go into town.

Was just talking about this with a friend. I was interested in the banker til I found I couldn't access my trade guilds.

I'd pay 1500 crowns for the banker as is now. 5k crowns, that guy should do everything a normal banker does and much more.

The amount of money they price some of these crown store items is ridiculous.
