Did these races really have an effect immunity? and how does it work?

Here are patch notes for Summerset:

Racial
Argonian
Argonian Resistance: Updated this ability’s tooltip to indicate it grants immunity to the Poisoned and Diseased status effects.
Dark Elf
Resist Flame: Updated this ability’s tooltip to indicate it grants immunity to the Burning status effect.
Nord
Resist Frost: Updated this ability’s tooltip to indicate it grants immunity to the Chill status effect.
Wood Elf
Resist Affliction: Updated this ability’s tooltip to indicate it grants immunity to the Poisoned and Diseased status effects.

So in PvE for example are Bosmer and Argonians immune to the SO poison over time or immune to the VMA poison buds in stage 7??

Also in PvP are they immune to the poison dots of DK poison talons or poison injection??

Seems too good, but maybe I misinterpreted that.

No they are not immune to any poison/ fire/ ice mechanic in this game. They are only immune to the poisoned/ burning and chilled status effects.
This means that an argonian can't be defiled by disease damage but it can be defiled by other sources of defile in this game.

Also the additional damage reduction is rather low and translates to ~2-3% damage mitigation at best.

It's nothing game changing it's nice to have but nothing more.

Via passive they are resistente, thus for exemple, a dunmer, takes way less fire dmg then a High elf

With the passive they are also immune to the secondary effects of said dmg (like concussion, burning, poisoned ecc)

They are not immune to the main dmg

For exemple, Incapacitating strike will do dmg on an argonian, but it won't proc the minor defile becouse those lizards are resistent to it

This is of course incredibly powerful, they should relook at the other races and give them something

Imperial is totally crap, nord too (nobody uses an ice staff but few exeptions)
Breton could use its last passive reworked becouse it's way too weak
Khajiit could use a 3% stamina increase (like the argonian had)
But this is way out of topic atm

So wait im wondering if they are immune to just the effect or the ability for it to proc on them at all. Is burning spellweave useless against a Dungmer or does it still work but they take no damage from the proc

    Burning spellwave shoudn't work.

But it may actually proc anyway, like wizard riposte procs on shields

This is correct. Some of the other posts have incorrect info.

Burning spellweav is a seperate "burning". So dunmers are not immune to that one.
