What is a good level or CPlevel to be at to take on the Maelstrom Arena? I past the first level. Tried the second level, Seht's Balcony I think the name is, at level 41 and could not survive the final round.

Edit: sorry if this is not the right place to post this question

You were in normal maelstrom, which you are able to do I'd say (depending on spc and player level) 10+, with some specs being able to do it at lower levels. Level ten, not 50 with 10 cp.

That said if you're on your first ever character, I'd come back with a level 50, cp160 level toon. It'll make it a lot more bearable.

What gear are you running? Skills? You can definitely do it, but it takes some planning :)

Ooooh there are different tiers, or modes? I have been aware of Maelstrom, just never delved into it before.

I was using my level 41 stamBlade. I running 5 medium (mostly Briarheart) 1 light and 1 heavy. my attack bar I main a bow and the backbar I have a 2H axe at the moment, but would prefer a sword.

For your first time, I recommend using the Sigils whenever you're in trouble, especially if you do not have a self-heal. :)

If you open your dungeon finder you will se the option to set dungeons to normal or veteran.

Don't thank me until you have tried vMSA. You may want to punch me in the face instead.

Lowest level I did it on was a level 5 magblade, though I had a few CP and knowledge from doing vet. Just make sure you have some crafted gear close to your level and a way to heal yourself. The rest is simply learning the mechanics of each round.
The mechanics stay the same on vet and normal so if you struggle to do mechanics just look up a guide for vet which there are plenty.
    Just keep at it...

Only normal is a visible option before 50.

My guy is lvl 41, but i have 175 CPs slotted. I think I am going to use my other character to craft gear for this toon, i don't know why i haven't thought of that sooner lol

I have not yet tried anything on veteran mode, my other character is a destro/resto magDK for DPS, but I only really do anything with that toon if I have a healer with me.

That sounds hard to me, even on normal. Just get to level 50 and get proper gear. At level 41 you probably have a mixed bag of quality and levels. Plus you don't even have 2 full sets. Unless you are already awesome at MA, it's just not worth it if you're gimped. I think the event is still on. You can probably get to at least level 45 easily tonight and maybe just go up to 50. It's just not that far off and you have the cp to use real gear.

Go back with 2 full 5 piece sets and a monster set. K'raghs is easy to get. Even a 1 piece it helps and there might be a decent helmet to buy if you don't want to run a vet dungeon.
