I just really cant get into the game. I can log in and reach thee character selection menu just fine, but I cant select any character as after a short wait an error occurs.

The same thing happened all this time back when I bought the game, and I couldnt launch it even once.
I feel so bad that I just couldnt find a solution to this.
I tried forwarding ports and I never had any addons but I am open to suggestion. I would appreciate any suggestions to solve this.
I did get into the tutorial 2 times ever and was kicked out after that anyway both times, so I am jsut really at a loss on what to do, and Ive been wanting to play it since forever.

@Astrid_V They tried, but after a while just stopped responding. Yeah, no fix for all this time

If you continue to receive the "an error has occurred please wait a few minutes" message, you can try switching between Megaservers.

To do this, navigate to the in-game login screen by launching The Elder Scrolls Online from the ESO Launcher. At the login screen, select Server (underneath the Play button), select the server you wish to connect to (NA or EU), and then select Accept.

What may also help is to reopen your launcher and let it patch to install any existing updates. You can open your Game options menu located under the News section of your launcher and to click on the Check for Updates option.

If you are still receiving the same error message after trying the above steps, you can try repairing your client; the Repair option is also located in the Game Options.
