Should Trials Increase Gold?

Do you think Trials will be more worthy and rewarding to play if they had a 10,000 gold increase for Normal and 50,000 gold increase for Veteran? I will admit I'm not a big fan of Trials but will it bring back the population of players to play Trials even more? Just because it looks and sounds good on paper will the gold increase help or hurt trials in Normal and Veteran.

Trials will already be getting a popularity boost next patch, as getting gold jewelry for trash sets will actually be desirable now.

If you do veteran trials you already get decent money, more so with HM.

I went into vMoL the other week using gold food and used close to 100 pots and still came out on top with gold made.

As someone who runs trials quite often, this is a terrible idea. That's just simply too much gold coming out of nowhere which would just devalue gold's worth. Considering even mediocre groups can smash out vAA in under a half an hour, the amount of gold being introduced into the economy would be disgusting, maybe game breaking.

Genuinely interested, where else is gold coming out? Obviously there is the current even which was chucking motifs at players so that has impacted the value temporarily but generally speaking what are solid gold making techniques? Guild traders are a bit irregular and it frustrates me having tons of items listed (at a decent price) and they're just not moving.

Any ingame activity should be rewarding and selfsustaining if u r good at it. The rewards should be better, the more difficult it is.
E.g. vtrials should drop herbalist satchels, with enough plants to make the potions for a 30 mins run.

Valuables should never be locked behind a certain type of activity. Like PvPers shouldnt feel forced to grind out undaunted skills in PvE lands, PvErs shouldnt feel forced to grind alliance war skills in cyrodiil. Its okay if a specific activity is more efficient tho. In that example, it would be if "kill 20 players" gives u 5 undaunted points while 1 undaunted lvl also grants 10% progress in the ava skills (not rank, just skills).
Being able to purchase boxes w/ random zone/dungeon sets for ap; purchase ava sets for gold. Buy/sell items for gold or ap in guildtraders.

Getting ppl to dip into types of content they usually dont do can be done different. Like rewarding alliance war dog for finishing cyro intro and alliance war horse for reaching ava rank 10. I'd add an example for a rewarding cosmetic item a pvper could like to get for <finish pug dungeon> and <complete all hm dungeon challenges>, dont really know what those guys could be after tho (maybe some imba sword of eternal destruction skin?) xD

TL/DR: u should never be forced in a game to grind a type of content u dislike in order to compete in or even just sustain the type of content u like. "Gold" is generally so easy to get, that putting it as reward for a difficult activity would feel like the pity price, unless it would come in insane quantities which would further reduce its general value.

That has affected the value of the motifs, not gold. All the event has done is made gold move around, opposed to gold being made by the game, which the OP is suggesting. If the OP's suggestion were to be implemented only people that are able to run vet trials would profit, but the devaluing of the gold would mean that people that wouldn't have profited from this would be paying more for goods from guild stores/trading with players. This would make it harder for newer players to participate in the economy, some would quit for this reason and that's bad for the game.

That’s a little steep and would get out of hand quick.

In vet Maelstorm arena they should give some gold rewards, as if you run the expensive potions you are in a gold loss for completing this "hard" content.
