The anniversary event was great for the game economy and makes playing the game rewarding.

One of my biggest problems with this game is that if you actually play the game doing Dungeons/Trials/Dailies/VMA etc. you won't be making any money in fact you could be losing money on pots/repairs/soul gems if you use them. The best way to make money was to run around gathering mats or farm motifs from boring overland dailies or farming specific item from hours on a respawning boss and delves. The occasional writ voucher was also a good source for people who maxed out their crafting, but in general the wealth was distributed very unevenly.

The anniversary event did 2 great things, first playing the game actually rewarded you with rng boxes that you are actually exited about what you will get inside which can be a good motif that makes you a lot of money or other rare items. Second it allowed wealth to be distributed better across the player base. Those who have a ton of money and willing to pay 80k for a motif would give that money to a player who doesn't have that money and doesn't really care that much about having all motifs. Poorer players got the money, while the rich are probably still rich.

I hope something similar to that can be implemented to the base game so that players can earn money better and make playing the game rewarding.

I dare say the rich got richer because the rich ones are most probably the ones who can afford spending more time in the game (that’s why they are rich in the first place). If you have the time to do 6 writ dailies on 15 characters and thus get more than 1,000 boxes, yes, the event probably made your gold coffers swell even more. For the player with 1 hour or 2 hours game time a day? Not so much I think.

One of the things I have felt the game lacks. Fun little side things to do for rewards.

Yeah, for the first time i actually felt like the rewards were GOOD. Up until now ESO is a poor toons game. Unless you get super lucky. Like " heres four hundred gold for SAVING THE ENTIRE PLANET "

    Yes.

It actually made dailies worth doing.

Many (most?) dailies in the game are just so not worth doing more than once... or never at all...

I got a lot of motifs which helps me tremendously on my road to being a master crafter. I also got quite a bit of duplicates too which should fetch some extra gold. The Bouyant Armiger motifs are probably the most expensive ones but who would buy the shield motif?

I've really enjoyed this event. As a crafter this has been bliss.

I’ve been able to complete at least 7-8 different motifs since the event began... It’s been about 50/50 split between pages I got in the boxes and pages I’ve bought because the prices came down, and I was able to sell so many pages myself. Only 7 motifs left to complete!

The way I see it, wealthy players buy motifs during event at low prices from players who need/want gold more than motifs. They hold onto these motifs for a few months until prices normalize again (go back up) and sell those motifs back to the players they bought them from but at higher prices.

    That's what I'm doing.

I now have 12 expert harvesters of various materials thanks to the reward boxes and enough mats for a year. I spent a lot on low priced motifs too. I wasn’t going to bother with some of them until they got so cheap during the event.

I didn’t make as much gold as I wanted to but I think overall it’s been a benefit since I gained so much in mats and motifs.

I don't really feel like I got richer off of this Anniversary event. In fact, I probably lost gold, and then equalized it back to a level.

Well sure I made quite a fair bit of money across my characters while doing the dailies, but I never sold any Motifs, and any duplicates I got I decided to trade for a Motif I didn't have. Basically I only got a daily's worth of gold, which I doubt would make for a substantial boost in revenue.

At least I got a few extra pieces to look stylish in, if I ever decide to play with more styles.

With this event, I completely finished my motif collection aside from frostcaller and tsaeci, which are crown exclusive and haven't been available to me since I returned recently.

I also nearly depleted all my gold reserves, but I have a significant number of worm cult and armiger motifs, as well as others, stored in my bank for sale once the prices rebound a bit.

All in all, a great event for me.

Ive opened up maybe 20 boxes? Could be less. Anyway I'm always broke as a joke lol. Infact the most money Ive ever had was about 150k but I always got most of money from motif's and I happen to land a few good ones from the event so who knows. Maybe I'll get over 200k for the first time ever haha.

Got lots of mats, motifs, gold and all my alts are keeping up on their horse feeding every day.
I was lucky enough to get the full WC set (trading with other guildies).

Sure I still have lots more to get for completed sets but this event put me way far ahead.

The double xp was nice also.

Last event was more significant for me, started with less than 300K gold, had over 2 millions after event ended.
This even takes me from 3 to 5 millions, who is less impressive.
the two events was most of my income in game :)

I fell like i saved a lot of money for future by this event. Learning rare motifs that may end up being as writs in future = saves money to not need to learn to craft them.

Also got a house that is big enogh for my needs.
