    Mine is 66 so far. I just now started to get ones in the 10-30 range, the 66 was a surprise.

    @Violynne Right now is a buyers market on motifs. 12 regular writs will net enough gold to buy legs right now on PC NA. so maybe 18 regular writs on your server. They are also easy to farm. I have like 8 in the bank just from doing spencer's dailies and i use to sell 1 or 2 a week.

    @Jameliel That doesnt sound right. you should be getting at least a couple per month per character.

    Do you have:
    * Alchemy= all traits known
    * Enchanting= All runes known
    * Provisioning = a high number of purple/gold recipes
    * Equipment writs = All/most traits researched AND several complete motif books( besides the base blue chapters)? Motifs only count if you have the entire booked learned and it purple or gold. I think i read someone that you also have to discover set stations too or that it helps but i cant verify that as i cant remember the source. All the rest is straight from ZOS.

    Maybe I need to learn more motifs.

    Since they were introduced I had only got below 20 ones and one or two in the 70's. Last week I got a 300+ one and a 200+ writ, blacksmith item and shield both legendary nirnhoned items, both from alts who know all blue motifs and a few traits but nothing else. My main crafter seems to get writs more frequently but, even then, hasn't been lucky enough to get big writs.

    That's Monster Writ.

    Max I got was 276 or 278 some time ago, never again, only once. The better I got after that was maybe 115 or 116, nothing more.

    There's some RNG involved, but within limits. Legendary level, rare style, nirnhoned trait and DLC-set are multiplying factors. All high-rewarding writs ("Monster Writs", ha ha I love this one) have all these factors combined.

    My crafter is completely finished (means all Craft at 50 with all Traits researched), plus I have a lot of motifs (all the classic motifs, most of the DLC-Ones, plus Ebonheart pact and DromaThra full), yet I dont think I ever received a Writ with more than 5 Vouchers.

    Classic motifs don't count.
    Rare motifs count only if they're full (all pages learned).
    Also be careful to have all possible achievements (all alchemy traits discovered, all enchanting runes, all legendary crafted, etc. ) and also the gathering and refining and deconstructing achievements : they all count.
    And don't give up : 95% of the writs we get are also 5-20 vouchers. We're only showing off our super super rare drops here.

    Skill needs to be at 50 and you must have 10/10 skillpoints assigned (less for provisioning and alchemy) to be able to craft CP150-CP160 stuff. Otherwise you cannot receive master writs.

    You can receive master writs at any level (if I remember correctly). Chances are only much higher if you're maxed.

    No you can't. For reference, just read the description of jewellery crafting that is on the news page here.
    Are there Master Writs for Jewelry Crafting?

    Yes! Master Writs for Jewelry Crafting can occasionally be acquired by top-rank Jewelry Crafters by completing their daily Jewelry Crafting Writ quest. Much like Blacksmithing, Clothier, and Woodworking Master Writs, Jewelry Crafting Master Writs are tradeable until unsealed, allowing you to buy and sell them. When completed, they will give Master Writ Vouchers, used to purchase goods from Rolis Hlaalu, the Master Writ Mediator.
    It has been this way forever for the other crafts. Since all master writs require you to craft an item at max level crafting anyways, it wouldn't make sense any other way.

    I think it was ~320, but I've seen one with ~390 linked in a guild chat once. I don't really care about the number of vouchers/writ since that is not really indicative of its worthiness. I do get smaller ones quite regularly I've earned ~4K voucher worth of writs doing all 6 crafting writs over 10 maximum level & tier crafters in 3 months. I find the claim of someone doing writs for months and receiving nothing quite dubious.

    I have an update! Last night, I received the following writ:
    For 352 writs, craft:
    Piece: Legs
    Trait: Nirnhoned
    Style: Bouyant Armiger
    Level: Legendary

    Junky vendor chocolate pickle tasting wet willy to the left ear!

    Seriously, there's no freaking way I can craft this writ!

    1) Bouyant Armiger is crazy expensive and 2) Nirnhoned? I don't even have one freaking trait learned from this!

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHH! My best writ now completely useless.

    Going to see if I can sell this. How much would a writ like this be worth?

    Not sure on XBox. On PC prices are aligned with the number of vouchers and currently stands between 250 and 350g / voucher. That would make yours around 100K gold.

    I'm really not out to get you, @anitajoneb17_ESO , I promise! <3<3<3

    But considering it's one of those writs that give you the ebony motif for 8 tempers, I would definitely put it up for at least 200k. I'd probably try 250k first.

    It's the same for those epic nirnhoned writs where you can get 40-something voucher without spending tempers, they are much pricier than the standard range.

    That's ok, @Leandor, different people, different behaviours ! If I were after the ebony book, I'd go for 150x 2-voucher writs (the provisioning and alchemy ones) and not spend any tempers :-) But to each his own.
    I also look at epic nirnhoned writs from a different angle than you. I think they're a waste of nirncrux and not worth the value at all. But then again, I'm well aware that everyone thinks differently - even if that sounds totally irrational according to my criteria.
