Please Fix The Quest Journal. You Know..Make It Useful?

Seriously. I got a quest last night to see Sees-All-Colors SOMEWHERE in the world.

It was 2 AM and I was tired and I forgot where the NPC said. So I look in the quest log. 'I should meet Sees-All-Colors!' Ok, where?

See, the Journal is to REMIND people of where they are supposed to go. This is the second time with this damn quest that I am reminded of WHO..but not WHERE, leaving me to jump all over creation.

A quest should say WHO to meet and WHERE to meet them! Like 'I should meet Sees-All-Color at the Fighhters Guild in Vhukel Guard, in Auridon!'

See, that way, I know what map to look on, even if I don't know where the town is located on said map.

As it is now, I literally have NOTHING to go on. I have to teleport from map to map until I see her quest icon, and pray it's not a freaking ship to take me to ANOTHER map.

The Journal is useless as a reminder as it is.

Have you tried using the "show on map" option while in your quest journal? I do agree saying where the NPC is would be useful, may the map option may help for now.

Isn't that another reason for folks to pay attention?? Besides, can't you go back to the Mage's Guild and speak to Shalidor again and he'll tell you again?? I believe that's how I solved that "problem..."

I'm sorry but 'pay attention' is no excuse for lazy writing.

The quest log should have been written to REMIND a player. You know, in case they don't play for a few days, or even get a quest before work and forget by the time they get home 10 hours later.

The bottom line is that a quest should tell you where the quest target is unless hunting them down is part of the quest.

It does tell you tough. Just hit M when you are looking at a quest and it will "Show on Map" exactly where you need to go, as MissBizz pointed out.

Hmmm... you don't think that "oversight" is intentional?? I do... You call it lazy writing... I call it deliberate... to-may-to/to-mah-to... I wonder though; can something that's throughout the Fighters' guild quests AND a part of meeting Veloste in the Mages Guild quests... as well as, in a limited way, meeting Quen in the Thieves' Guild quest...can that something be more deliberate or lazy??
