292, the 2nd day master writs were in the game. It was worth approx 3 million gold, so I put it on a guild trader, but there was a bug that changed it to a style that wasn't craft-able, making it worthless until they patched it. By then the price had fallen so much it wasn't worth selling anymore.
I've been doing daily writs nearly every single day for months. Since the latest event started, I stepped it up to 7 toons every day. Still never received a single master writ.

Same I don't even consider this rng anymore they bs'ed us, they really just need to make motifs, patterns, recipes, and traits account wide tbh since they don't do anything
ive got two legendary waiting for motifs. One is like 111 and I think the other is only like 60. Both want nirnhoned. I only have two potents left so not sure if I want to use them or not. I have like 14 fortified those. Those have been dropping in the event boxes
26. It's actually in my quest list, but I can't complete it because I need the Outlaw legs motif to do it, and I'm not spending gold just to complete a writ.
I once had a writ with a higher amount (52, I believe), but I abandoned the quest because I don't know how to get Nirnhoned traits for each weapon/armor *and* I didn't have the motif it required (which was at the time a Vet dungeon drop only).
Anymore, I just stick with basic alchemy and enchanting writs, but given the highest amount I've ever seen on them is "2", I don't expect to "buy" much with the writs.
I'm just holding onto the writs for now. I think I have a whopping 27 total.
When I look at (non research) items I'd like to get, I just cry a little inside.
This system is not very nice. Worse: I have a 24 writ I can do now but I can't do it as long as my 26 writ is "open" as a quest, yet I don't want to abandon it since Outlaw is relatively "easy" to get in the game.
I cant stand doing even regular writs...master writs are even more tedious...I stopped doing them after about 5 or 6 tries...these days I will do something more interesting and buy what I want, I like crafting, but I HATE writs...go figure.
82 I think. So far I've bought the 3M Hp skeleton and 2 large,1 small storage boxes. After storage and ebony motif I don't see anything else that really interests me. @Violynne if I had a spare copy of outlaw legs and we were on the same platform/region I'd happily send it, but I checked my spare list and I don't at the moment.
276 I believe. 1st or second week after master writs began, got a bunch of high ones in the 100's that time period. Since then, I think the highest has been close to 100. mid 80's.
Mine is 66 so far. I just now started to get ones in the 10-30 range, the 66 was a surprise.
@Violynne Right now is a buyers market on motifs. 12 regular writs will net enough gold to buy legs right now on PC NA. so maybe 18 regular writs on your server. They are also easy to farm. I have like 8 in the bank just from doing spencer's dailies and i use to sell 1 or 2 a week.
@Jameliel That doesnt sound right. you should be getting at least a couple per month per character.
Do you have:
* Alchemy= all traits known
* Enchanting= All runes known
* Provisioning = a high number of purple/gold recipes
* Equipment writs = All/most traits researched AND several complete motif books( besides the base blue chapters)? Motifs only count if you have the entire booked learned and it purple or gold. I think i read someone that you also have to discover set stations too or that it helps but i cant verify that as i cant remember the source. All the rest is straight from ZOS.
I got one somewhere around 230 I think it was in the first few weeks they were available. I havent broken 200 since, actually not sure I have even been close. Most of my "big" ones these days are 120ish.
