Epic Undertaking Achievement Help Requested - Veteran Falkreath Hold

Has anyone had success obtaining the Epic Undertaking achievement. I'm seeking some insight on how to do it.

Our group has tried several methods from waiting for the adds to all spawn and rushing them all at once after waiting 2-3 minutes for adds spawns to build up. Though things were far to frentic to determine we had 15 adds to cleanse.

We even tried holding archers and melee thralls until we had 8 up (no more spawned after that) and then burning them down with the remaining zombie thralls. Unfortunately of the 8 adds we had up only four of them dropped lights to cleanse.

If you have been successful, what strategy would you recommend?

Thanks!

As a follow up we finally got it. There was an issue with our timing we worked out. Saving adds was the way we went.

Can you, or anyone shed some light on how to do this please, we have tried doing it by having all the adds stacked before we drop, tank goes down, agro boss and someone purges them, this doesn't work.
It doesn't even seem that 15 of them spawn at a time in 1 phase while fighting the boss.. and waiting for a 2nd phase will surely be a team wipe.
    So what is the mech?

Here I will define zombie adds as the ones that spawn on the outside edges of the room and shamble towards the group that due naturally as they walk. The non zombie adds will be the ones that don't lose health gradually and will aggro on party members.

There is a cap on the number of non-zombie adds that spawn - which is 8. They spawn two at a time between phases where he does the kill mechanic. Basically what we did was the tank collected the non-zombie spawns for 3 phases, while dps worked on cleansing the zombie add bodies only, not doing damage to the boss or non zombies. Tank completely ignored the zombie adds during our run. When the fourth set of non zombie adds spawned, we dropped ulti on the pack of non-zombie adds and the boss. During this time the zombie adds spawned which helped fill out our 15 bodies. After all the non zombies were dead the two dps and the healer went about cleansing all of the bodies - dps each taking one side of the boss, and the healer going down the middle taking whatever died in the back between the middle-two urns.
