Can we not stay logged in while being AFK?

i'd love to know how you get 10 minutes idle without being removed from the game, while others get 15 minutes and some only get 5 minutes or less. i can't find anything to change that on settings.

anyway if i managed to pee for 10 minutes i would be talking to the guinness world records and not to a doctor

Default is 5 min if idle, 10 if you're in an interactive menu. If you are only getting 2 min of idle before timing out to login, there's something else going on. So you have a really short sleep timer on your device, that also disables your nic?

i just tested using a stopwatch and looks like i can be idle almost 5 minutes, it's close to 4 minutes and 50 seconds. anyway it seems less during the day, i'll test later.

by an interactive menu you mean that if i left my character watching the bag i'll get 10 minutes? i know that at character menu i get even less idle time.

Clear your Master Merchant database.

If that doesn't help, disable all add-ons until you figure out which one is causing the issue (this issue is caused by add-ons most of the time, or crappy internet).

I downloaded a little program called Mouse Move. I use it, because I like the sense of being IN the world of the game. So, quite often, I'll have my character lie down and "sleep" until morning. During this time, I'll putter around the house, watch tv or do other things while the character sleeps. Mouse move keeps me from being logged off after a few minutes, so when morning does come, I can go back to the character and carry on.

I don't know if it's allowed or not. I honestly didn't really think about it. If it IS NOT allowed, I'd like some official confirmation, and I'll stop doing it.

I simply park my character in a crouch where NPCs will wander by every minute or so. The effect of being hidden, then detected, then hidden again seems to keep my character logged in for 15+ minutes. It's not indefinite, however, as certain tasks that take me away for a half-hour or more tend to log me out.

Yeah.. it would be nice not to have to run back and forth when you're cooking, or walking the dog or something and having to move your toon around on and off so it won't kick you off for non-activity.

If I hit the traffic light right and there’s no line, I have made it to Taco Bell and home before the idle timeout kicks me off.

Edit: although, that’s only 10 minutes and I’m not upset if I idle out.

i can time it for you if it's so important. but i can tell you that my idle time in game is between 2 to 4 minutes and 50 seconds.

Lots of fiber will produce the immaculate "no wiper"

This cuts down the time spent considerably. Also, money saved not replacing the Charmin can be spent on ESO+, crown crates, etc....

OP, if I need to go AFK and don't want to log-out or get kicked due to inactivity, I just open the Crown Store and then go AFK. You never kicked when in there!

When I use a sit emote, I stay logged in afk longer than when I just leave it.

I don't know if I would be allowed an infinite amount of time, but it definitely works.
I'd imagine any emote that doesn't end until you move would work.

Drinking from flagon comes to mind...

i dont agree with that.
from what i undertand that lagg happens when those people are on your screen.
not if thier afk at a different location in the zone.

i don't know about you but i don't pee in the same place where i play the game, i pee in a different room and i'm not so stressed to take a run so i can return before the 2 minutes of the allowed idle on game. other than that i'm ok with my time to pee but thanks for caring

...anyway now i know that i can get 10 minutes idle if i left the char on an interactive menu, so i can really pee for a long time now thinking on all your worries about ***

Should still wipe or even shower off. Germs are microscopic and just because the paper isn’t brown/red/yellow/blue, doesn’t mean it’s clean. If I have nowhere to be, I always shower after I #2. Now with the advent of water resistant phones, I play ESO on my android while showering
