Converting a Charater: Need advice

So I have 4 characters. Templar healer, DK tank, Stamblade, and Stam Sorc.

I would like a Magicka character to play (and for group versatility). Both my Stamblade and Templar have all destro/resto/Light Armor/Mages guild etc, so not missing any skills there.

The thought of leveling an entirely new character up, and then skyshards/quests/etc. seems nauseating. So I’m trying to determine which one to switch:

I’ve narrowed it down to my Templar and Nightblade. I’m leaning toward Nightblade because I use most of the same skills on my Templar that I would as a dps (obviously not as strong), and their kit doesn’t seem nearly as varied or interesting. But perhaps I’m wrong there.

Can I get some advice?

MagBlade is totally different than a Stamblade, so go that route.

Magic nightblade rotation to get good damage will give you cancer.

The templar will never be as strong as you want it to be.

Convert Sorc. May require a race change toke.

I think this is stale advice. Just saw a single target parse on VMOL first boss of 51k ST for a magplar. Furthermore, sorc has been off their high horse going on nearly a year now.

My 2 cents:

I would leave your stam sorc alone. They are such a fun class to play and the damage is really strong. The class is not terribly difficult to play either.

I would also leave your DK and Templar alone, as you have the meta tank and healer should you really need it. Rumors are that DK is going to move up the rankings a lot in summerset, so if you never tank, maybe consider making him a mDK.

I would change your NB to magic. mNB is certainly the current FOTM. What I do agree with (although I hate calling things cancer, because if you actually ever dealt with cancer, you wouldnt use this phrase, but I digress) is that mNB is a very difficult playestyle, but so is sNB. Magic NB is much stronger than magic sorc right now for most things.

I main stam sorc and my dps is currently at 20k but I still need my equipment mundus

Thanks very much, I took your advice and went Magblade (converted to High Elf). I’d done PvE on my stamblade in the past and got the rotation down pretty well. With DB update where merciless resolve holds on to the stacks even on recast, I think it’ll at least be easier than I remember.
