Can we not stay logged in while being AFK?

Title says it all. I have login issues for a month and whenever the game kicks me off from the server logging back in is painful. Right now I can't login any characher of mine for an hour or so and that pisses me off. So going back to my question. Is there a way to stay logged in even if I'm AFK?

    Use a macro program to have your character move back and forth occasionally. Or point yourself into a corner and turn auto-run on, though that's not as reliable.

    I know some do, but you could also get banned for this. Would look too much like botting.

    cheaters can stay for hours and hours afk, but a honest player don't even have time to pee.

    If you AFK in the middle of a busy town, some of the occasional random buffs you get from players there does seem to reset the timer. At least it seems that way to me since AFKs last longer there before kick.

    i dont think auto run works i tried it, you get booted for not moving still

    Cheaters use macros.

    If you are on the login screen you have about 5 minutes before it boots you. In game its about 10 minutes. If you have the map up or inventory up i think you can get away with it even longer.

    I mean, maybe. But if you're macro harvesting nodes or something, I'd say chances are pretty darn small - and even if you were banned for it, I image you'd be able to appeal it pretty easily, since you aren't actually violating the ToS. Plus, most simple macro programs are literally just normal keyboard and/or mouse inputs.

    I wish they would increase the timer because it is annoying there is very little time to take a bio and get a drink . I don't want to use third party software to take a bio lol . Even if never get punished I don't believe in breaking the rules . I'm a goody two shoes outside of game irl .

    Any of you has the same issue I have? I can login and see my charachers but I can't login to any of them? It has been a month and OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!! Enough already...

    that's crazy. i only have about 2 min in game and 1 min in the characters screen.

    It keeps you logged in for about 30 minutes in town before it boots you, the time is even shorter if you're near a wayshrine, jump before you go.

    Well i have not tested it but i hear you can afk for ever if you have a npc window open like talking to the banker or a merchant

    Go crouched and or open your inventory. I've done some testing with that and it seems the game allows you to stay logged in longer if it thinks you're doing something in your inventory.

    If you use a keyboard, push down your forward key after you walk into a wall. Insert a coin between your keys and it will keep the forward key compressed. Go afk:-D

    open up the crown store before going AFK. They never boot A potential customer.

    Making your character hold block (which is easy for ps4 controller) used to work.
    Did then back when there were still players in IC arena district when i had to attend to an annoyance like eating, etc. :D
    But this is a long time ago so no promises.

    As for the timer i have no idea how it works. Sometimes i leave my character alone standing in my house for 15 minutes and she still there other times get booted for inactivity in a couple of minutes. I can easily see how frustrating this could be with the login issues you decribe.

    Hope it gets fixed soon.

    Say what. I can go put the clothes out and wash the dishes and still be logged in.

    If you're AFKing for longer than 10min then you're basically just leaving, at least that's how I see it. Yes, we have the good intention of coming back, but if something is taking that much time then you might be better of just focusing on that task.

    You should try and fix the actual problem you have; why you are having trouble logging in on the first place.

    Lots of fiber will produce the immaculate "no wiper"

    This cuts down the time spent considerably. Also, money saved not replacing the Charmin can be spent on ESO+, crown crates, etc....

    Which is a good thing. If every afker was able to stay in as long as they wanted there would be more login issues and server problems. Dead weight on a server is no joke.

    Default is 5 min if idle, 10 if you're in an interactive menu. If you are only getting 2 min of idle before timing out to login, there's something else going on. So you have a really short sleep timer on your device, that also disables your nic?
