Depends on which ones you're talking about I suppose. I'm kind of a housing addict and am finding my Monopoly-style of addiction to running the board come up.

I'm very glad you have 11. Now we won't read "can we have your stuff?" since your moving in. Possibly your 12th house. I'll say more the better. I believe there is achievement for owning all houses? Maybe on PS4. If not, you got bragging rights. But still need an achievement. Or special dye. I just got 9 more houses to get :)

No it was just that I've heard others mention it seems odd to have that many homes. Reasons for each home is location of something I felt at the time merited reason to get said home. It was a sort of convenience sort of thing that is stationary and won't have to rely on luck of seeing if someone is still there. You know its location and the resources around it can be beneficial for myself or for others I am friends with that visit my home for what I have in my home or what is near my home. Main home is exorcised coven cottage, skyshard to the west of it and a world boss and a dolmen as well, 4 chests that show up around the home as well. The sets around there are beneficial to magic users for early levels. People kind of figure out that you have a lot of homes when you are grouped up with them and tell them you have a home near so and so location that is faster than using a wayshrine and then they decide to ask how many homes you have.

If you bought em all with Gold then no, the whole point is to own all of them eventually for the Achievements and completion.

is there a cheap purchasable house that is relatively close to a wayshrine? the inns suck because of the double load screen

edit: nvm decided to get sleek creek in reapers marsh

As an extra note, homes are a quick way to bounce around the world without having to go to a wayshrine and when you don't have friends in a given map. Its not without extra uses.

I have 22. And also a problem. I love to decorate, though. I really wish we could have a way for friends and guildies to choose which homes to visit aside from the one primary. Soon™️?

Yeah I have 11 homes and wish others could take advantage of many of the ones I have for a free port.

My favorite is the Cyrrodillic Jungle House in Malabal Tor - just around the corner of a trading post with a wayshrine and there are as well 5 guild traders and a merchant nearby. I guess it is 71k gold, no other requirements. It has a nice cozy courtyard and when it isn't raining, it is really nice to sit and chat with friends outside - this said, it rains more than not in that region. Otherwise it is a single-room home, which is quite easy to make cozy and "lived in".

I don't even know why people even use them. Compared to other MMOs, they don't really have any value in them.

From the free inn rooms, the one in Vivec is the best IMO - once you get the hang of it how to get from there to the crafting/banking area outside of the city. It is not big, of course, but spacey enough to make it comfortable for 2.

A practical reason is - you can teleport from anywhere to them for free. Another reason is maybe not obvious - it is fun to decorate a home and I feel more "at home" in a game, when I have a house or another own place to stay at. Some use it for storage purposes, which is not my concern, I have ESO+ and therefore no inventory problems.

Or just add them to the white list of allowed people and they can use it anytime they want.

I think I have 8. They're all used for storage (except my main one). Will be buying the 1 million gold Vvardenfell one just so I can steal the stable shortly. Already stole the stable from the $350k one.

Currently have 4 houses, not counting apartments.

Planning on buying a nice big house for my guild (debating on the Hew's Bane Palace or wait til Summerset for the Boat House) but I think it will be money well spent regardless.

Big houses are very hard to make cozy and comfortable - I looked into that palace and found it far too big for good. I like that lake house in Vvardenfell though, which was mentioned in the post before yours.

I invested way more into decorations than my houses, I have 3 manors (All 3 faction manors) Hundings, The Large MW house, and a couple medium houses all bought with gold so decorated from scratch.

Once you bought more than one you ought to have all of them. Bought all 45 and looking forward to by Summerset ones.
