Dungeon finder problems and grievance.

Since I've been back to the game and actually playing properly on a new character for the past few weeks, I've noticed a reoccurring problem happening to me while trying to use the dungeon finder feature. Sometimes after it's found the group and formed, it then fails to transfer my character to the dungeon with the rest of the group, when it first happened I thought it may of been because I was in combat. But the same happened again while standing in a city last night, it failed to transport me, so I attempted to teleport myself to one of the group members already in the dungeon only for the group to kick me out. No more than 10 seconds had past since the game failed to transport me and my team had voted me out.

To make matters worse, the game then penalized me for leaving by making me wait 15 minutes or something around that time before I could queue again!

This has happened to me quite a few times now and to be honest it's really pee's me off, and that's putting it mildly.

I don't know what frustrates me the most, the dodgy dungeon finder system or the total impatience and disregard shown by people in video games.

/end rant

If they had waited a minute it would have let you in. But if they kicked you that fast, they were probably fishing the queue for a really high level so they were just kicking everyone until they got it. Likely why that spot was open to let you in.

I see. That makes it even worse, players can just "fish" for a team player they want and keep voting people out, leaving a trail of innocent players with a timer penalty.

Seems to me there are a few problems here
    1)Players not getting transported sometimes
2)Voting system that can be abused
3)Bad attitudes within the player base.
4)Unfair punishment (Long wait until re queuing)

While that might be the problem here it doesn’t necessarily might be your problem here: the group finder is notoriously buggy in doing exactly that what you described, I had that problem a few times myself and I talked to the other guys in the group and that was just a new group.
Another of the many bugs that ZOS simply ignores.

Most of the time it fails to transport you because someone left or was kicked and the server hasn't actually removed them yet. I'm not saying that it wasn't a bug, but the situation I described is common practice.

    This^^^^^

I and others have reported it repeatedly. I first reported it ages ago right after I started playing, and it happened to me. Have reported it quite a few times since then every time it's reoccurred. Each time I've gotten similar generic emails.

OpP are you low level, low CP, queued as a DD?

The most likely reason was they kicked someone, got you as replacement then kicked you as they wanted someone higher.

Happened to someone joining my group yesterday. We had 2 people leave before first boss in WGT and at least one person joined and couldn't get in so had to leave. Dungeon Finder has a decent amount of bugginess.

This is a known bug. If you do anything while forming group it can trigger the bug. They kicked you out because they are just impatient. As soon as you see it says forming group, stop all input into the game and it will lessen your chance of this happening from my experience.

They should just remove the penalty from the queue unless you actually drop group on your own. IE: dont give the group a chance. To fix any "kick until we get what we want" problems, just add a kick timer of 15 minutes that only applies to people who are still online( offline would not get the penalty).

You have to be wait a bit. Say 5 mins at most then have person port to crown. You also fix it if one person walks or ports of the dungeon. Then both of you can now port back in.

This happen because someone had just left the group and the server still think dungeon was full. Just wait a couple minute and port to a member in group manually. If they kicked you before that maybe they don't know about this and thought you're bugged and cannot enter the dungeon, or they don't like your CP.

I had an instance where there was a dead/afk guy we kicked, sitting in there the entire time we fought the engine guardian.

One way alleviate the issue of instance full errors is that the group who is in the dungeon already, needs to make sure adequate time is given so all traces of the players that were kicked or left are erased from the instance. Often times players instantly requeue and the server gets hung up on refreshing the status of the isntance and it basically thinks the new player coming in is a 5th head and thus *** blocks you from entering.

    As for these issues
    2) this isnt really a common occurrence tbh at least regarding your fishing claim that groups can cycle through to find desirable players.

I use the group finder more often than i care to admit and the main issue with vote kick abuse is both class role combinations - non templar healers and non dk tanks are often discriminated against, and cp discrimination - player not at or near the cp cap are often not afforded to the opportunity to complete the harder dlc dungeons. This is all based on thr principle that the majority of people who use the GF tool are less experienced, or downright ignorant or simply dont want to risk their available game time.

    4) This cant be helped unfortunately. Ive lost count of how many times my queue pops, and its a half finished dungeon and the group is about to fall apart right when i enter. Sucks.
