Feasiblity of a PvPvE Character

So i have a PvE character and while i was collecting skyshards while exploring i saw that i had an excess of 25 points. I also like to PvP alot but i needed a PvP build, but i then realized i could just purchase the abilities, farm a PvP set and i would be able to PvP. I Realized a big problem later the champion points would have to be split in half for each half of my character's builds. Would the splitting of my champion points make my character useless in both PvP and PvE.

✭✭✭✭I just play nonCP PvP (battlegrounds primarily), it makes this a non-issue and you can comfortably PvE or PvP whenever you so desire without monkeying with CP.2 -

✭depending on classes, there will be some differences in the cp allocation. for pvp the green cps are used to make roll dodging, blocking and breaking free cheaper, while you buff your regen only a bit. the reds mostly are separated even into hardy, ele defender, thickskinned and the one reducing direct damage. shieldstacker also invest into bastion there. the blue trees mostly are pretty similar to that for pve, since your skills are similar. i for example just allocated them for pvp and dont care about the small dps loss in pve.
or you only play bg and no cp, then you dont have to allocate them separately for the two contents. then you only need to change your setup with sets and skills.1 -
I just play non-CP PvP (so I keep my CP on "PvE Mode") and just reset my skills & gear every time I want to "switch modes".

Burng4501Soul ShrivenI didnt even remember the non cp campaigns. I also saw the cost of changing cps and its 3k which is ridiculously cheap. I guess if i really wanted i could just swap cps for 3k when i want to pvp in vivec. I also did some headache inducing math with the cps and the 2 builds im following, i split each each builds cps in half and added them together with the others builds cp and i actually got a remaining 20 cps to put in.0
