Vvardenfell, because all the craft stations, bank, and traders are close together outside. I like not having any load screens for the bank etc.

I honestly don't see the appeal of Rawl'ka for writs. for shopping, yeah, but for writs? meh. normaly I'm either in mournhold or Vivec, but recently I have been really loving Stormhold. its actualy such a great location, everything is centralized and close to each other, you can ride mounts and it actualy has pretty decent traders too. the only reason my main is staying in mournhold is because my guild trader and master writ turn in is there. otherwise, I pretty much moved everyone else to stormhold. vivec is tied to it though as far as faves go, so ok, i admit, I do kinda keep some alts there, for variety :P

but.... the problem with Vivec, that stormhold doesn't have is that bag vendor and outfit station is way to far away from everything else, while in stormhold its right there with the rest of the crafting stations

I like Shornhelm, but it's probably mostly because I got used to it since low lvls.
There is something in Vivec that makes I got lost every time, so nah, not a city for me :/

    Malabal Tor, without doubt.

After a lengthy sesh, cruising around around doing all sorts of nonsense, I generally head over to the dock (forget the name, but it's the wayshrine on the left of the map) and go about the essentials: Deconstruct items and Glyphs, research traits, sell ***, complete writs, then bank what needs to be banked and log out.

The area is so condensed that it makes it wonderfully simply to scoot around and finish the session off quick smart. Doesn't hurt that the stablemaster is on the way.

Stormhold. Most of the crafting tables are outside next to each other. Then when I'm done the turn in is next to the wayshrine.

The Rift. Riften is perfect. I leave my house, go do mounts if needed, head into town, grab consumables writs, pop banker to get any pre-made stuff (food and pots). If I need to make a potion, pop in the mages guild to do potion and glyph. If I have potion, I can pop over to the tent next to the bank to make the glyph. Grab armor writs, use craft stations that are right there, turn in and port home. Even with no banker it's simple, since the bank is near the second writ board, and has a fire for making food if needed.

I have tried a lot of places lately. Shornhelm was not right. Vivec City always crashes my game. Davon's Watch is full of people dueling right outside the smithy. Mournhold requires going in and out of three different buildings. I'm in a guild with Pariah's Pinnacle as the guild house, doing the writs there is cool but turning them in just sucks. Riften is OK but not too convenient for anything other than writs. Daggerfall is too spread out. Windhelm is just as bad.

My choice for now is Vulkhel Guard. Three writs inside one building, three writs outside. Short dash to the quartermaster. The stables are a bit inconvenient but at least there are plenty of Altmer to feed my Blade of Woe. There are also some nice beaches for relaxing after the work is done.
