"Join us this Friday night to get the inside scoop on ESO: Summerset's new player homes and updates to PvP. Firstly, Lead Systems Designer Philip Draven and Systems Designer Cullen Lee will give us a tour through two of the brand-new player homes coming with and beyond ESO: Summerset. As they do, they'll also showcase some of the new furnishings that you'll be able to create with Jewelry Crafting. Then, we'll be joined by Lead PvP Designer Brian Wheeler to talk about the improvements, additions, and changes we're making to both the Alliance War and Battlegrounds as part of Update 18, including new dailies, rewards, and more!
As always, we'll feature live gameplay, answer your questions, and have a giveaway. We'll see you on Friday at 6:00PM EDT on Twitch or YouTube. Don't miss out!"

Force zos to answer us by typing MORE SLOTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS in chat

This was asked, and, no, Housing Slots are not due an increase.

The reason was given as a Technical one, related to the consoles (and I am guessing lower end PC's). The exact reason was not revealed. I know the devs want to give more slots, they just can't.

let us know that we want a definite answer or eta if we can expect a housing slot increase atleast for pc which can handle housing slots. They will showcase new summerset homes and continue releasing more and more homes and items for homes but when will we see slots increased to actually put them inside our homes? It kills any incentive to buy any new homes and I will refuse to buy any new homes unless I am given hope that those slots are on their way.

And is there any plans to allow us to put a wayshrine, stable master, writ boards/turn ins and guild bank/ trader access with our banker and merchant followers from our homes?

I'd love to see an increase in housing slots. Or for ZOS to stop releasing houses that can't be decorated with the current limits. What is the point of teasing us with something like the new Hew's Bane house if we have no way of decorating it fully?

I don't care what limitations ZOS has that keeps them from increasing housing item slots.

They need to figure it out and increase them.

They keep pushing ridiculously expensive houses exceeding $100 each, and the limitations on decorating said homes is *** at that price point.

They should have had this crap figured out before Homestead even released. It's been over a year since then, and still no progress?

Nope, I'm all out of patience.

The limits in large and notable sized homes is ridiculously small, and severely hampers my enjoyment of housing. I am constantly having to go back and undecorate places I put a lot of time, effort and creativity into, just to make room for something that I need placed.

Increase housing item limits, including special and collectibles. I don't care what your reasons are, ZOS.

I bought one of your stupidly overpriced houses. I won't buy another housing related item until you raise these limits.

If performance is the concern, it should be up to the player how much stuff they place in their home.

I once placed 500+ trees to make a forest in The Gorinir Estate and had some performance issues (FPS drops mainly) on PS4 Pro. I’ve also tried placing 100+ Culanda Lights on each other in Twin Arches only to drop my FPS to the point where I can barely turn my camera.

The truth is, individual furnishings vary tremendously in terms of their effect on game performance. Placing 700 cups will not cause any issues, whereas placing 700 lights will almost break your game.

Currently there is a Housing furnishing cap only due to ESO+. Without ESO+ you can barely furnish any home as much as you want.... in terms of manors (particularly newer ones) you don’t have enough slots even with ESO+.

Beside from MOAR SLOTS, I would really appreciate, if they just release some new construction elements. Like stairs for example. I wasted around 30 slots just to create some stairs. I also created a second floor, but planks just don't look too great.
Even if slots are technically limitted, I just want some more intelligent design on construction furniture. Give us some proper floors, walls, functional doors and stairs!

The housing cap NEEDS an increase. All of my houses have areas that are horribly empty/unfinished looking. At this point, even 25 extra slots would be a godsend.

Also, don't forget the player cap. My RP guild routinely has more than 24 people online and RPing... and some of the new houses are certainly large enough to host RP events in.

It's super unfortunate that when I host a server event I have to hold it in public and be pelted with mudballs when there are plenty of massive houses that should be able to fit a large group.

Another things is why can't they do smaller homes that cost say 3.5mil gold but are the size of the 500k-1mil size with 700 slots like how does that change anything.

Can someone bring that up on the eso live show bc I will be at work or can @ZOS_GinaBruno find out why

I mean do you know the amount of detail you can do to a medium size house with 700 slots would be amazing

My complaint is the severe limit to collectibles. Idc if I can only put 200 items in my home if I can display every trophy/bust I have unlocked...

Why can I place 600 ugly thrones in my home but only a max of 40 Trophy/Busts? Makes no sense at all.

Khajiit would very much like her mewing voice to be heard but finds it hard to yell while she sleeps yes. Such is the time now of the broadcast this one calls it 'ESO watch next morning while doing writs'.

Anyway the list of things this one would like to see:

More open access to properties - some way of letting a property be open to all and a means of everyone being able to go to these properties. Perhaps the option to set a property as a business and tag it with certain terms i.e. tavern, theatre, park and then travellers being able to search for key words. A way of opening up our private space to become entirely public space for everyone. This one would very much like to be able to pop into her tavern from time to time and find complete strangers there - this is the point of a tavern yes.

Ways of making home visiting more social and entertaining - bards, random NPCs, games, things to do except stand around and talk yes. Just more interactive overall

A guest book - so it is possible to see who has called by and perhaps left you a message explaining where your salmon has gone ..

A gift chest where you can put things to be taken by anyone who would like them

More housing slots of course yes!

    More medium sized homes

    Strings of sausages

Housing is useless the moment it becomes a solo-instance.

I understand the frustration, and need for more furniture slots, but I will not encourage people to "raid & flood" a twitch chat during a live session. This is brutal and childish. And annoying for everyone. And disrespectful of Gina and Jess who always do their best to offer us an exciting live show.

ZO$ also had no plans to add transmogrification to eso as it was too difficult/couldn't be done (eso live answer), also no plans to change all the base game overland zones to be scalable like Orsinium DLC zone (again eso live answer), what's impossible today maybe be possible tomorrow ;)

It's always best to deny ability, in order to allow developmental breathing room and curb expectations. Unless they're nearly done with the feature or making good progress on it, you can bet your ass they'll say they can't do it / it's impossible.

So I still fully expect ZoS to say they can't do it, no matter how much we pressure them, if it isn't on their immediate schedule. Though this isn't to say that you should stifle your opinion (as it will impact future developmental goals). Just be considerate when you're doing so. (IE, not spamming a live chat when Gina/Jess are looking at it for other pertinent questions to the topics at hand)

Maybe if they increase the number of slots for different areas of the house? Like you could be limited to 200 items in the courtyard, 200 inside the house, 50 in the tower or whatever.

I would like to be able to extend the house by buying a trap-door to a basement , place a tower or even a portal to a oblivion pocket.

Also, and this is easy - please bring the following furnishings: forge, ladders (that can used like in some outlaw sanctuaries), stairs, walls, flat platforms, water basins. There are extensive lists of desired furnishings so I won't add more, but everything is already in the game. Please bring more achievement related items!

I hope they will make decorating easier. We need ways to align, snap, and group furnishings when we build.

    Same.

I don't spend for large houses because the slots number is absolutely insufficient, once I'm done decorating my small/medium houses, the housing game is pretty much dead for me.
Since we are at it, someone could tell them to stop releasing huge houses only if things aren't going to change. Empty places, no thanks.

And someone tell them (for what it's worth, since they don't do jack without revenue as "new feature", even basic and necessary QoL changes) tell them to optimize at least the use of slots making us decide the number in categories (e.g. if not interested in decorating with busts from dungeons and trials, those precious slots could be exchanged for furniture or pets and mounts, we should have a total number allowed and be able to split it as we like, for me those trophy slots are useless, don't like to decorate with that and it's just a waste of slots I would use for other kind of furniture).

Well, I for one believe there is a technical limitation for going crazy with furniture slots in housing... to a point.

Something doesn't add up when a small place like Sleek Creek or Cliffshade gets 400, but so does the "medium" home of Mournoth Keep - which is arguably as big or bigger than the large home of Mistveil Manor (having decorated all of them). Mournoth looks almost empty with 400 slots compared to both my Sleek Creek and Cliffshade homes that are both filled with clutter and look very lived in.

So in the end, what makes these homes in the same category that are vastly different sizes all only take the same amount of furnishings? So, I don't have crazy expectations like some that think space should be unlimited, but something doesn't add up IMO with what we're being told either.

There are also things they could do to make decorating easier for players and use less items with premade pieces in two forms:

    1. Premade clutter. Filled book cases are a good start and we are seeing more of these, but other sorts of pre-made clutter could help some situations. I'd certainly rather choose how to clutter my tables and desks, but if the room isn't there would at least like the option of having clutter collections to place.

    2. Better building materials. Players are using dozens and hundred of items like stone blocks and planks and similar items not even meant to be used for structures to attempt to create structures. Better options for walls, stairs, floors, borders, etc. would open up build space for some players. Considering they are selling us empty plots of land for a million gold now, I find it odd there aren't better things in the game already for building from scratch.

I wonder if ZOS will make more small-medium sized homes. They have only been focusing on the crown-store exclusives (large-grand size) for a while now. I do not like this shift.
