Problems with Hacks and Cheats

Tried to find correct location for this, but as you know the in forum private messages don't get attention and neither does the in game reports through the third party company. So- [snip]
You were very concerned with gold farmers in the beginning of the game due to the amount of revenue that could possibly cost ZOS, much resources were used to prevent that from happening and combating that. Here is something you should really take a look at- just what your players are telling you is happening, undetectable cheats for your game, with video to show potential 'customers' how well it works in game being used. Might want to really take a look at this stuff, your players are not mis informed and over reacting, you have a very serious problem and need to address it. The company brags that you have never busted one of their users. Even if you just have a passing interest you should look into the claims.

When you downloaded the program, how long did you try it before determining it was just a scam?

I haven’t visited that site because I tend to avoid those advertising hacks. But anyone who thinks there’s no cheating/hacking in ESO is either covering or just plain naive. There are bot trains all over the place, how the hell do you think they’re able to automate these processes? And if people are able to bot do you really think there’s no other cheats going on?

Anyway I’m just sick of seeing the bots run rampant while everyone else is expected to play legitimately. And anyone who cheats in a competitive environment can just eat wood.

I would love to know how something as sophisticated as a bot that does pathing, attacking, looting, etc could be controlled by macros. Because I just don't think it's possible, and either way is against TOS. Also, "Plz Delete this thread"... lmao let the devs investigate and decide instead of trying to silence the issues.

There are definitely farm botting issues, 0 damage mode, speed hacks and quite a few others being used in the game. It is pretty sad too. Seriously, half of the cheaters are people afraid to die in a game, and the other cheaters are so greedy they hog up and sell other players gold that they could've earned on their own if professional gold sellers weren't botting every type of node available. If it weren't for minor errors in their programs we wouldn't get anything at all. pffff. It's a bit late for me tonight, but here is a common example I see too often. I see a dude with a bunch of letters as a name appearing at every single node in a path, and when you drag a mob to him he uses no abilities to fight or heal or block. He just dies because he didn't program it to be in combat, but only to bot farm the resources.

Although cheating occurs in this game this website is definetley a great place to get some malware something a naive teenager or a aging geriatric would have issues noticing probably.

You may be right about the website being "a greate place to get some malware" (installed on your computer). But you're trolling when you sort the foolish into too young to know better and too old to have learned anything that you think you know about the ways of the world. One of the things that you may eventually learn in life is that anyone can be conned, including you, because everyone has some vulnerability that someone can attempt to exploit.

FYI, a lot "macro" software -- especially for gaming -- permits a key to be bound to a Lua script which the game client will execute (among other possibilities). The player character may be controlled by an actual person, but they are using one or more scripts, which they can activate by pressing a key or a mouse button, that give them an unfair advantage.

Is there anyone out there who doesn't run a reasonable firewall and Virus/Malware protection now that would easily prevent such things? I would hope not....seems the obvious way to protect yourself. The most troubling part of any of these sites is when they have in game accompanying video showing the program working- I always find that very troubling and much harder to dismiss.
