So.. are PC servers always like this?

I'm a new player and I've bought the game through steam less than two weeks ago, and almost half of this time there were problems. Sometimes it was EU problems, sometimes both EU and NA pc, now it's for steam players. As a EU pc steam player I can't help but asking how frequently this problems occur. I rarely complain, but not being able to play so often since I first got the game is getting frustrating

No. They are just fine. Steam players do have problems, but it is the first time for me as a Steam user.

Maybe I'm just lucky with my gaming time but in the 4'ish years that I've been playing on and off, other than scheduled maintenance, I've never been unable to log on.

The servers are not always like this.

They’re only like this during special events like the anniversary event we’re going through now.

It’ll get worse during the mid year mayhem PvP event, but that’s only if you do PvP, which I imagine is still a bit further in the future for you.

I've been playing since August 2016 and during this time I've never experienced this many issues in such a short amount of time. I'd say you are just really unlucky with timing. While some issues might happen from time to time, this period is particularly bad, on a whole different level than before. I'm not sure what's going on, no idea if these issues are related or not, it's even possible that every possible misfortune happens now completely unrelated to each other.

Usually when something goes bad, the servers might go down for a few hours, worst I've seen was like almost a full day, but only once. Most of the time it's not terrible, and definitely doesn't happen very often.

If you live in the U.S. get a job during the day, take some collage courses, or go on an 8 hour walk. You will never noticed the servers going down.

I'm in EU and that's exactly the problem, I have little time to dedicate to games and I'm pretty upset because every time I've tried playing everything was fine only for a little time, then the server exploded

I've played hundreds of mmo's over the years but this game seems to be one of the worst for issues, and maintenances that last 6-10 hours in oceanics prime times

Been playing since Beta and on the whole it's not too bad, this week has been the worst week I think. It can get, shall we say perplexing sometimes but at least they actually do sort the problems out.

I've been playing since late Nov 2017. There are issues with some frequency, it isn't too unusual for there to be issues with an MMO. It's just been a rather bad week or so now.

Having a flat tire rarely happens at the most opportune time either.
