Vote for {forum "read-only"} for non-ESO+

The most whining threads I read coming from people without ESO+ membership.
Most of them complaining about features, demanding this and that.
Let them read-only the forums except "customer support-help" where they can adress questions.

While I agree the posts copmlaining about paywalls / p2win etc are from people without ESO+ as a general rule, I don;t think you should have to pay to voice your opinion.

I could see potential for an ESO+ forum within the forums, though I don't think it should replace the General Discussion.

    No.
However a forum theme where only eso+ has access to may be a better solution

The laws don't apply, but if you agree with the concept, it does.

Closed internet communities that censor their members as a rule are often just abandoned to die.

So, while it's true that "free speech laws" may not be enforced, the concept of "free speech" is respected, even if just for the sake of surviving.

Unless you live in North Korea, or something...

    Just saying

    Nope.

The money people pay should never give them more of a say than others. There was a thread a while back about a forum for ESO+ only and I didn't agree with that either.

Everyone no matter their choice of access to the game or time playing it should be allowed to voice their concerns and frustrations with the game. If we don't agree with them then it's our choice to either engage them about it (debates woo!) or ignore the threads and carry on.

This is a bad idea in imo.

One of the reasons of a forum is to give feedback and opinions. Constructive criticism is useful.

Not all complaints are warranted. But on the same token all praise given is not deserved.

What would the point be of forums where everybody agrees.

Now if we could have a forum that locks idiots marked as trolls that would be wonderful.

(Awaiting all the trolls to hit this target with gusto).

I'm a free speech advocate, but I'm also a supporter of freedom from speech, at least in private homes, clubs and by extension internet communities. The amount of worthless toxic garbage just on these forums suggests the need for stricter controls via heavier moderation.
