How much do I need Sword and Board Passives for PvP?
Rolling a Dunmer Mag DK with the intention of doing PvP down the line. Most build videos I see recommend having Sword and Board on the back bar and given how it feels pretty useless in PvE as a DD, should I just focus on getting Destro staff to 50 as I level up and kind of passively do Sword and One Hand or will my survivability be totally gimped?

✭Best way to mitigate damage on a dk sadly is to block. Most magdk pvp builds include at least one bar with sword and shield, some even double bar it. SnB is so good for dk, because of its passives: reduced blockcost, more mitigation for blocking, especially against ranged attacks and projectiles. This really helps out a slow melee class a lot. Why not let you inspire by some dk pvp builds on youtube?

✭✭✭✭✭If you’re gonna use Sb at all then you need all the passives or at least all the ones related to mitigation. But you don’t have to use Sb. Permablock DK is certainly the cheesiest and most popular to play it but it’s not necessary. You can also back bar resto. Just up to you how you wanna play things.0 -
