Yep, i acknowledged that about 1 hour ago, its good for motif farm; but the average price of every motif and crafting mats are dropping. I hope there will be something that needs to burn an urgent quantity of purp/gold mats, specially kuta's prices are about to hit the floor...

This anniversary bugs show how much love they have put in to this game.

Pre the internet the majority of items we purchased had a physical entity and went through a process of quality control (whole departments in factories I worked in where set aside for this). Therefore the items we attained had to be of a certain standard. If these items were substandard they were either destroyed or lowered in price.

Now comes the internet. Originally there were departments which would test the products before release (playtesters for gaming. Not sure what they were called for non gaming products).

What has happened since though is most of the play testing has been removed from the company (this is not a bash at ZOS all companies seem to have followed the same path as far as I know). This is in the form of a PTS.

One company has actually stated to charge for it's PTS and called it something else. You pay for a years access.

In most cases the PTS is released somewhere within a 3 month period prior to actual release.

My point?

You wouldn't pay for a physical product with a similar quality to what we now get from the games.

But until full in house testing of a product is reinstated we are not going to get a similar quality from digital.

I don't think this will ever happen so we are going to have to live with things as they are now.

One thing I will warn you of though is keep an eye on any MMO you play.

I am sure all gaming companies are watching to see how the charging for PTS access goes.

Free PTS may become a thing of the past as well.

So unfortunately we are stuck with things the way they are.

I think they're fundamentally extending it because EU (PC?) server has had significant connectivity issues. But otherwise, yes, the whining is absurd.
