ZOS has programmed in "Are you sure?" confirmations for almost every act in the game. There are even confirmation dialogues for acts that have zero consequences (Are you sure you want to teleport there?). However, there is NO confirmation before consuming what are some of the most valuable and difficult to achieve items in the game: motifs.
I'm usually very, very careful when interacting with motifs but, of course, the one motif I accidentally clicked while trying to open an item next to it was the one motif I've been farming for weeks. Now it's used on the wrong character.

I did that once before. Fortunately, I am on PC and have Advanced Filters installed. I only open containers with the container filter so that the contents of the container do not appear in the inventory screen while I am opening 20 containers.

Better to have it and be able to disable then not have it and dumbassery ensues.
or use the lock function just like on equippable items. A locked motif won't be sold, junked, dropped, used, etc.

I just really don't need more confirmations and notifications every time I want to do the simplest thing. The multiple notifications whenever you learn a motif is enough, I really don't need more messages.

It (again) is because of banker bug.
