I had a similar problem a month ago and it was driving me insane. The support could help me to solve this problem.

Go into your router settings and check if you've got IPv6 activated. ESO can't handle IPv6 and disconnects you A LOT.

If you don't know how to find this call your provider or someone with the similar router. If it is activated deactivate IPv6 and your problems should be solved.

Thanks a lot, I will try to test that out!

Also, as always on the PC when troubleshooting, load the game with no addons and see if the issue persists.

And makes sure you have opened the ports on your router that the game wants. Although that should not be kicking you, it will maximize the performance.

If your router is also Wireless, disable the WiFi to test, it could be a leech sucking up all your bandwidth. Unlikely, but an easy test to do.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

yeah but at as mentioned I already tried disabling wifi (enabling airplane mode + disabling wifi device through device manager), and plugging a lan cable instead. No dice. Will see how disabling that IpV6 will go.

I consistently get logged out from around 35-45 min approximately, doesn't matter what Im doing, just running around in town, out farming, doing dungeons, reading books, assigning skill points? Any ideas what is going on? It's very weird. First I suspected it might be my wifi, so I tried disabling wifi and connecting a lan cable. Didn't make a difference. Then I thought well maybe my internet disconnects for a few seconds every ~40 min, so to test if a short connection disconnect could cause logout I purposely tried pulling out the Lan cable for 5 seconds then plugging the Lan cable back in, but I didn't get disconnected, got +999 ms latency, but no disconnect, worked fine when lan cable got back in. Tried doing this more than 20 times during an hour; same result every time: no disconnect. I had to unplug the cable for 10 seconds to get logged out. So this means that whatever logs me out can't just be a short disconnect, because as I tested out even 5 seconds of lan cable unplugged doesn't cause disconnect. But the weird thing is then that I don't have any disconnects otherwise than the logout from ESO. And apart from logout every 40 min eso runs perfectly, no lag or anything, got ~50-60 ms latency. :(

Is the server booting me or something?

Not sure of the cause, but on the bright side, isn't the going advice to take a short break every 45 minutes? The disconnects are a perfect reminder and force you to take breaks.

It could be a bug with your VPN if you use one
It could be your router dropping and renewing your DHCP lease

Happens to me now about daily. They can fix it any time they want, as far as I am concerned. No need to wait.

I don't want to be forced to do anything thank you very much. Im perfectly able to manage my own playtime and breaks. There's no bright side about getting kicked from the game just as our group is about to face the last boss in that vet dungeon. "Oh but look on the bright side: you received a forced break! yay!"

Does it say the server has stopped responding? Or do you just go straight to the login screen?

Straight to the login screen, for me. Sometimes, it is a surprise. Other times, I know it is coming and have to wait. The difference is whether I am interacting with the world or just passing through it. When doors stop opening, monsters and people stop moving, chests and nodes don't work, then I know to sit back and wait for the login screen to appear.

Straight to the login screen, no error code. This also happens if I unplug my lan cable for 10 seconds, no error code, just straight to the login screen. But when pulling the lan cable, during those 10 seconds, latency will rise show +999 after a few seconds, and if I insert the cable again before ~5 seconds have passed I can keep the connection and wont get logged out.

But with the logout issue I am having there is no high latency, it shows fine latency around 50-60 then suddenly it's just logged out at the login screen.

Disabling Ipv6 had no effect by the way, no difference at all. Will try testing on another computer to see if I get different results.

There's more than one option for IPv6. I had to deactivate something called "Teredo" as well. Turning off IPv6 solved all my issues, sorry that it doesn't help you.

This happens on Xbox at least once or twice a day. Happens most often for me when accessing the lore library or when logging in and out of toons. It’s been an ongoing issue for a couple of years and is worse during events.

Got the same issues on my laptop, even when wired. When playing on my main PC, no issues at all, so I guess this may be related to an internal setting.

Today it doesn't happen for 3 hours now. Who knows the cause that fixed whatever was wrong. Maybe it was todays update and my eso account got fixed. Maybe additional restarts coupled with deactivating Ipv6 did it. I'll be crossing my fingers and praying to Akatosh though.

A bunch of us from southamerica were having this problem a few months ago. I spent a lot of time with support and they were very nice but couldn't find the problem. I left the game a month and the problem was gone when I returned around January.

After the last update, now what I'm having is huge lag spikes of 3000ms+ every 10 -15 mins, but the disconnects are not that frequent. All these behaviours only happens in ESO and not in my other MMO or online games.

The same thing happens to me. It's not timed like it is for you -- sometimes I go hours without it happening and sometimes it happens 15 minutes apart. Doesn't matter what I'm doing -- writs, a trial, questing, or just standing around in town - the world stops, NPCs only do idle animations, I can't interact with anything. If I was in combat, I can continue using my skills and LA/block (to no effect), but if I wasn't in combat, toon stops responding to commands except for movement.

Weirdly, it happened on my lowbie in the middle of the last challenge of the Skywatch Veiled Heritance quest a few days ago, and when I logged back into the game, I didn't have to redo the quest -- it counted as complete even though I didn't finish the final challenge.

Discord, TeamSpeak, and everything else continues to work just fine, so it's absolutely not a problem with my connection. It did not happen until the maintenance 2 weeks ago. I'd hoped yesterday's maintenance/patch would fix it, but nope. PC/NA
AD is the best looking faction. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them.
