If I had to pay for this forum I'd simply move to one of the many free ESO forums that already exist, or one of the ones that would inevitably created shortly after the charge was introduced (or before, if they announced it in advance).

Although another way to think about it is that we've all paid for forum access already. You have to have an ESO account to access this forum so it's essentially included in the price of the game.

Sometimes, despite obvious bait amd trolling, its better to speak up and state one's opinion.

Divines forbid that ZOS,should somehow decide that the forum user base is in favor of a paywall because we stayed silent.

Why would anyone pay for forum access?

I payed $40 for the game = forum access. A monthly fee to write / read forums sounds like a very bad joke (but something like ZOS marketing really would think about - that's the sad part).
