Summerset and The Golden?

With the new jewelry crafting system coming with Summerset, I really believe the jewelry part of The Golden will be rendered completely pointless.

Can we change her stock up a bit? With the anniversary event ruining the market for us motif sellers, and The Golden jewelry being effectively rendered useless I suggest The Golden should have her stock changed up a bit so that is PvPers can have some way to reliably convert AP to gold.

Maybe instead of set jewelry she will sell set weapons. That way both remain quite desirable, and you can add the rng element so we don’t know what type of weapon from each set is being sold at the time.

I mean those gold jewelry mats will be useful. I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking about buying a ton of gold jewelry that first week simply to decon.

They said they will keep the Golden Vendor, for now.

It will still be valuable for PvPes with tons of AP to buy and decon jewelry for the mats.

Whut, several 100k AP for one ring are worth it to deconstruct, while pveers can get a legendary jewellry all 30 mins by running vAA?
The golden needs an update to sell more basic stuff like mats, that would be great. Also she then should stay and dont only appear on weekends. But there is already a thread about makinf AP more valuable

Folks, buying gold jewelry at the Golden vendor for decon only isn’t the OP’s point.

If the rotating stock includes 2-3 of the new jewelry traits in the offered sets (in addition to healthy, robust, or arcane) ... then we have something worthwhile to buy.

we know that one jewelry trait and items only will be available in PvP, but i think it will be implemented to a regular merchant and not to the golden one.

I think it was said that jewelry that currently drops in one of the original traits will keep dropping on those traits. It will have to be transmuted.

Also, I also think buying gold jewlery with AP to decon is not worth it.

But there are people that easily make 1 mill AP a day... For them, specially right at launch, might compensate

This is not a legitimate arguement. Anyone can jump into cyrodil or a bg and accumulate AP, but not everyone has the opportunity to do trials, let alone get gear from vet trials. There is nothing stopping you from jumping into pvp, but there are so many player made, artificial walls to climb to get into trials. The people running vAA are the ones that are going to get gold jewelry they need regardless of jewelry crafting, but I might actually start pvping for some decon gear. You are literally talking about the smallest portion of the community getting mats.

my statement isnt about who is able to do something or not being able for. what i wanted to say is, that you spends several hours pvp to accumulate that amount of AP, while the PvE-way offers faster accumulation of legendary jewelry. as much as i remember is a gold necklace for 300k AP available, which is 3-6 hours playing extensively PvP, while you can get one jewelry (guaranteed drop in veteran trials) much much faster. additionally you have to buy the jewelry, so you even have to spend AP while you get it for free for the completion of a vet trial.

So, from what they said, they jewelry with the new traits will only drop from activities in Summerset.

But it looks like the overland sets will drop in all traits, if I understood correctly, so very quickly people will be selling those in guild stores. Specially if the new reskinned dark anchors drop jewelry too.

A few hundred K AP for a single gold mat? Assuming the system works like the other ones, we would need to decon 150k x 8 worth of AP rings just to get enough mats to gold out one piece of jewelry. Meanwhile pve guys get like... 2 rings every vHM run? Nah it’s not adding up, especially not when it comes to a vendor that is only available 2 days a week.

We need some upgrades to the Golden. If not changing up her stock, maybe modify it a bit at least.

overland set jewelry will only be found in healthy, arcane and robust when i understood the right, what the devs said.
you will find jewlery items with the new traits as rewards from specific quests, similar to the first nirnhoned items, which only were acquired at the end of the craglorn main quest. so there will be around 6 specific quests granting each one jewelry with one of the new traits. also the mats are obtained by doing specific content. but you dont have to do all the quests to research all traits, since other players can craft jewelry with the new traits and sell them via guildstores. also the materials will be tradable, so you dont have to do the content to obtain the mats.
