Anniversary rewards: other, then the Worm Cult

A lot has been said about the unfortunate Worm Cult chase. But What do you think about all the other rewards, apart from WC?

For me this Anniversary is great. It was a brilliant idea to add furniture plans and provisioning recipes to boxes, as well as transmutation crystals and tempers. The drop rate for motifs – this thread is about *non* WC motifs – the drop rate is just great.

I received a lot at Day 1, since than the drop seems to be lower for me, but still, there are plenty of new rare motifs for me to learn and plenty of them in guild stores. They are affordable! I completed several collections these days: Trinimac, Yokudan, Akaviri (which is hidden behind PVP for me) and, to my surprise and happiness, I collected a full Mazzatun from scratch. I also have a good start for other collections – Bloodforge, Dreadhorn, Silken Ring and Morag Tong.

I was glad to get Perfect Roe and other golden things. I get them quite often. So, this part of Anniversary really makes me happy.

I've had a few good furniture plans, a couple of roe and one potent nirn but other than that nothing significant other than motifs.

The motifs themselves were fantastic the first few days with lots of mazz, bloodforge and others like that but yesterday the rate went right down and the few I got were all mercenary or celestial or others everyone has that aren't worth much.

Someone in another thread said about saving boxes to open every couple of days and getting better results that way, so might see if I have the patience to do that!

2 roe and 2 potent nirn out of several hundred boxes by now isn't something I can get too excited about. I appreciate a lot of the free mats--less I need to farm.

i too noticed droprates dropped after the first day. I'm not very happy about that, as it's pretty bait-and-switch-y, but le sigh.

I do like that the market is flooded right now with motifs. Last year i got my crafter updated on all the motifs this way and I'm glad they did this again so other people could too. Some people don't like this because if they get a rare motifs that they never were going to farm otherwise, they assume they should get top gold for it. OK. I personally think selling as much as you can now is better because people are looking to buy motifs right now and not much else. Otherwise you can sit on a motif page for a couple months, then list it at the price you want, and it may take you a while to sell it while the player market has shifted to buying other things. This is one thing people seem to always overlook with trading in the game: you have to sell WHEN players are looking to buy. So what if I had to sell Ancient Orc Whatever for half the price I might have gotten for it three months ago. I didn't have one three months ago, I did yesterday for half the hassle and now I have gold for it and another free slot in my guild store to sell whatever motifs I get today, tyvm.
