Disagreed. I would agree with you if everyone had the possibility to farm these motifs. Sadly, many don't. Some people might have 1h a day to play the game or might be able to log in only during one week of the event and will never even see more than 1, 2 pieces (if lucky). For some it's not about entitlement, it's about doing their best, committing as much as they can and getting nothing out of it because of the poor RNG. Doing a motif drop at 1% but having it in-game for unlimited time is fair, challenging and rewarding. Having a motif drop at 1% for 17 days is just bad. They could make it very rare, but at least do something like every day you have at least 25% change to get 1 piece and once someone gets all pieces, they go back to being 1%

Unfortunately, this is a basic problem with how ESO does events. In the long term, it might be better if these were transitioned over into content based achievements, which award stuff based on tasks completed. Unfortunately, there's only two events that really add additional quest content, so that's not really viable without throwing more money after the existing events.

I get that these are super rare drops, but I had hoped at having some sort of a decent chance of obtaining every page. After opening over 400 boxes, I got 2 pages of WC. I may be able to buy a few, if people list them for lower prices than what the average seems to be. After the event is over, those prices are all going to skyrocket, not go down, because all that are going to exist already do. At least until next year. I just wanna know how many years it is going to take me to get every single page.

Its fine. If I don't get it, I don't get it. I don't really expect to at this point. RNG is snubbing me right now. This is what I get for getting the plague horse, no good RNG for the rest of my life lol

I only play once my wife and kid go to bed, I work a full time job that is at least 10 hours a day. I get it about not having time to grind for rare motifs.

But the Volume of complaining on these forums during this event is overwhelming.

You can really have a sence of entitlement with a video game that ppl pay money for. The word is a sence of expectations. I personally have enough time to get all the motifs I'm a disable veteran that can't work so I have alot of time. But there are others that can't spend as much time in game as me. Additionally your passing judgment on others without knowing there motivations to play, I and many others are completionists meaning we want to complete everything. Them releasing a time sensitive achievement and blocking it behind a sub 2percent drop rate is a bit discouraging for some. In the end zos is a business and as such they have to at least keep us players moderately happy to keep us around and if I missed out on this achievement do to some rl thing id prolly quit and move on to another game a d not wanting my time in this one to feel lime I wasted it, it's best to just voice my concern.

I'm selling everything. People are buying trinimac and ancient orc for 25k. Those motifs have been around for a long time already yet people are still buying them - even with ages left on the event, where they might get them themselves.

The expectations should be that you can play the packaged game. Special events are something extra and not integral to the game. If people are expecting to get rare drops left and right, their expectations are misguided. People can say "oh, its what would make it fun for them", well, having capped CP would be fun for me, but it certainly isn't something I expect.

I don't get why people care so much about stuff that does nothing to make your character any better. If I wasn't so lazy I'd spam region trying to make a ton more gold off them since I couldn't care less about motifs.

I think you missed my point. Eventually you can get capped cp there isn't a special event that allows u to get in once a year. For all we know this will be the only time they ever make worm cult motifs available, which is something they certainly can do as they run the show. But like I said there are plenty of completionist out there right now scrambling to complete the motif collection, it doesn't affect you if they do or don't complete it so why make is it such a big deal if they feel annoyed or frustrated. For the most part this event is 10/10 awesome but events like this shouldn't require you to no life a game to complete the achiements associated with it.

I have 10 characters but only do writs on one as i always have done.
In the rest of my playtime i do some events here and there and pledges.

I do like knowing as many of the motifs possible since the outfitting system.
Just like i used to like collecting mounts.

I accept having to adjust my goals and i will be fine without the motif .....

But this motif will be available in crown store soon for 5k crowns discounted from 6k lmao.
Thats why the droprate is so lol not because its an achievement too obtain it the hard way.

@Odnoc if your not a completionist then your opinion on the matter is moot. Personally I love rare hard to get items but it wouldn't a wise decision to lock rare hard to get items behind one spefic event, that's how you lose future completionist as a costumer base

I agree with you to a certain extent, but using terms like "snowflakes" and patronising people with posts saying "put your big boy/girl pants on" amongst others of yours in this thread, is not necessary.

I could very easily break down the psychology of said posts and call you some names, given your overall attitude.

I understand you want to make a point, and feel strongly about it. But patronising and insulting people for expressing their opinions just make you look bad.

I am actually really enjoying this event. The boxes are easy to get, and have cool stuff in them.

Do I want Worm Cult motifs? Yes.
I want a lot of the other motifs that are dropping, too.
I also want the majority of the blue/purple furnishing patterns as well.
And I always like and want more mats.

I have yet to have a box that I think is pure rubbish. I have yet to be disappointed.

Besides, even if they don't put the Worm Cult motif in the crown store, they will probably do this event again next year with the same or similar drops. I hope they do -- It's really neat!

Am I going to get ALL THE MOTIFS and ALL THE THINGS I want, despite running it a lot on my various characters? No, very unlikely not. And that's OK. There will be other events and other drops and other opportunities for these things.

I'm just glad I am having fun with this event!

Yeah, I've been trying to do that too.

I've managed to get 3 WCM so far, but also buttloads of other motifs to sell, so I'm happy.

I play casually and only do around maybe 15 or so dailies a day, I don't push or stress myself out over it. No motif is worth burning yourself out over. Amd actually, to be fair, I've got some decent motifs from playing this way!

I am a completionist so guess my opinion isn’t moot. Just spent 8 hours straight getting 50 boxes on one of my toons, hence the posting all night.

Whilst i do agree with your sentiment 100%, you're coming across as the usual internet try hard. Trying to convince everyone with each passing post of how great and successful you are at life and how perfect your kids will be once they learn from your self proclaimed greatness and so on. Lets hope they don't inherit your peoples skills or your great knack for blowing your own trumpet because no one else will do it for you. Seriously, stop trying so hard to convince us all how great you are at life, leave that for others to heap praise upon yourself. Otherwise you just come across as the one living in the basement as you so eloquently put it.

Also, if you're big enough to criticise others, at least be big enough to take some of the criticism levelled at you on the chin. I mean, you expect folk to just sit there and take your insults, so why aren't you willing to take criticism in return? Some of the criticism is coming from people like myself who actually agree with your point. Seems one rule for you, another for everyone else.

Some dont feel entitled to the motifs, they just feel entitled to our pity for not getting motifs.

The event is about the anniversary. extra Exp plus bonus motifs and mats just for doing quests is a bonus.

I wish it was on all quest turn ins. I feel it would be celebrating the whole and not just dailies.

I understand about the infinite repeatable but one time quests should also be included with anniversary boxes.
