Really? shadowrend and other proc pets activate necropotence?

Yes. All summoned/procced combat allies (however temporary they may be) proc Necropotence. They're classified as pets. Even the Morkuldin swords!

I'm not sure why people keep bringing up all the various critters/tools that proc Necro in refutation of the OP, though, as the OP was specifically talking about non-combat vanity pets.

One thing about the Temporarily summoned pets. While the Magic Pool increase benefits to damage are there, the pool itself does not fill in the extra amount until you regen it. Most mob fights would be over before you ever got your magic pool to the full buffed amount.

So, in other words, using generic numbers:

    You have 36K Base Magic
You Summon a Pet, your Pool Max goes to 39K
Your Pool is still 36K, less whatever you spent to summon the pet until or if regen can fill it.

Shades used to be summonable early, but now only can be summoned when in aggro range to a mob or boss, same with some others. Not sure of the Netch in the Warden line has the same issue, I think you can summon that one early, odd as it does the best at filling in the pool quicker.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

Plagueslinger probably would too, but that would be a bonkers combo.

That is quite true, only time it helps if they are able to get themselves to have a burst of magic somewhere along the way and they are just using it as a way to get an extra pool to burst through, honestly it feels rather wasted. There is far better tactics than this.

While 5-piece Necropotence is more limited in benefits for builds not using standing pets, it is easy to get some jewelry and a couple of pieces of armor for it at lower levels. It is not worthless when leveling up.

Imo I think it would be far better to work up at dolmens in glenumbra over getting dolmen farming in rivenspire. There are two magic based jewelry sets that are fairly decent for new players in glenumbra that you can get from dolmens till you get yourself better adjusted to what you actually want/need.

Actually, it's more like real fake fake news news ...

Basic math dictates that minus and plus even each other out, removing a "real" and a "fake", which leaves us with:

    fake news news

Basic math also dictates that plus plus is still just plus, allowing us to remove a "news", leaving us with:

    fake news

Math; for when semantic discussions on the internet get out of hand.

Some veteran players forget they were new once. I've played since beta and met players who were noobs when they started, became pros later, and then critize new players or refuse to help them because they are new.

In my experience, I've met players who were absolutely hopeless. Heck, I even consider myself a noob still sometimes. But some people just don't get anything. So I can understand the frustration of trying to help. But other times some players appreciate the help.

So, those that are just giving out false information for fun should look back when they first started. Or maybe check out of their mom's basement.

Something I have come to understand is that there is many aspects of this game. There is so much that some of us have info that we are used to on a normal that an unknown quantity of players do not know about. There is knowledge I share with any because I know I have seen people that have been playing since beta and somehow don't know certain details, I also know there is other possible info that could be shared around that I might not know as well. There are many things to consider on this, don't try to have a big head over it, can play a bit coy to kind of lighten the mood. I know there are enough people that might misinterpret things as well. Functionality and such.
