I find myself conflicted.. watching the numbers increase and collecting shines. So here's a fun poll for you all! What do you like to do more?

In between,, I hoard it until I need to spend it on something that I don't have ie motifs.

I'm a hoarder. Until I decide to splurge on motifs or housing, and then I promptly go into "I spend so much gold I have to farm and hoard money again!" mode.

Spend it. I'm almost always at 0. I make millions, but I also spend them just as quickly. Housing has been a huge gold sink for me. I also have a tendency to gold out gear before properly testing or waiting for the final patch notes of a PTS, so I have a bunch of golded out sets I maybe used a handful of times.

A bit between, don't use much most of the time so it piles up. Will probably go on an shopping spree at end of event.
Can open the purse string a bit now even if this event has been slow compared to last year. Summerset will be extremely lucrative unless this one is an Argonian.

Let's just say I would like to hoard gold, but I end up inevitably spending loads on furnishings. I can't help it. D:

I hoard until I buy a manor then start all over again. And then freak out when I can't afford the jewelry from the golden vendor

I set a "minimum balance" (one million). Over that, I feel okay spending on whatever but not below that one million.

I hoard gold until I have enough to buy what I want and then I spend it.

I guess that's not so much hoarding as saving.

I can barely hold onto gold. I always try to hoard, but end up splurging when I see a fancy furnishing recipe or motif. "Who knows when I'll see it again? Maybe this is my last chance!"

    QFT.
I regularly fluctuate by about a mil when I go into full splurge mode, but have been sitting on between 7&8mil for the last year-ish.

Gold should produce gold, no need to hoard it. I like to always have 1 million available for sudden spendings. Anything above it I mostly turn into something that is likely to gain value in future (like luxury furnishings, DCT, sometimes dreugh wax) and unlikely to lose value.

I'm trying to hoard so I can buy a bigger house to get all my decor in one spot but *** all...I want bank space too. So far bigger house is winning.

I like to diversify my wealth with gold, mats and items as the value of all three is in flux -- although items are more volatile of course.

My goal isn't to be wealthy per se, I just want to have the means to obtain anything I might want or need.

I do this too till an item costing a million comes out aka housing storage, transmute table, worm cult.

I do not earn a ton of gold but I also spend very little gold. I have about 2.5 million which is not a ton after 4 years on and off in the game

I really try not to spend it, cause it's more difficult for me to make it unlike all you others who claim is so easy to make millions. I've lately been able to maintain around 400k so I decided now was a good time to finally help out my guild financially and donated 100k of it, so now I'm gonna have to go stealing again...

I like to have a good 8 digits in the bank but when the total gold I have gets too ridiculous, I'll go on a spending spree--furniture, purple recipes, houses, donations to my guilds, auction bids, whatever. I've made about 1.5m gold since the event started, so I went and bought the Coldharbour parking lot...now I have a place to store all the excess furniture I've purchased on previous spending sprees or with crazy auction bids, lol

spend. to me gold is pointless just sitting there. I do like to have an emergency stockpile in case something comes along that I cannot immediately afford with cash on hand, but in general - if I'm saving extra gold, its because whatever it is i want to spend it on - costs millions, plural (like houses)

Little of both. I had a set amount in mind to save up a while back for rainy day fund if I needed to buy stuff quickly or whatever. Once I got over that cap I'm a little more liberal with spending money if i see something I want.

    Im in between.

Normally i dont spend too much gold on motifs or housing.

But for funny build ideas late at night i tend to spend alot of gold mats.
For example i did a pvp dw healer once. With transmutation and spc. Didnt have spc swords so i bought some transmutation swords and made them gold.
Mext day i thought about it and noticed that spc on dw and transmutation on body would be better, so i farmed spc and havent uswd transmutation swords since. That adventure cost me about 200k

And yesterday night i insta bought master writs for 700 writ tokens, just to get the storage (that i didnt need till that point, and probably could live without too)

I like to have a comfortable buffer for emergencies, but beyond that I spend it all on motifs. The amount of gold I have has been pretty constant for about half a year because of that.

I don't hoard gold, I spend it unless I am saving for something. Mostly on motifs so I can make fabulous costumes. I do hoard materials though.
