meteor mostly gets used by magicka chars in pve, dawnbreaker for pve as stam toons and in pvp from both. meteor at least doesnt work in most of pvp scenarios, mostly only used paired with an unavoidable stun.

In PvP, Dawnbreaker is so good that many magicka builds will use it over Meteor.

meteor spam is good for zerglings and laggy servers, since it grants setbacks and delayed stuns like hell;)

Depends, in PVE they both work, except that dawn will give you more damage vs undead & daedra, while meteor will (if fire morph) give you extra ultimate for hitting targets so you can combine it with the fighter's guild passive that gives ulty on killing those targets, and then you can simply re-use it very often on trash mobs etc.

In PVP, I have to say that Meteor is only good for dropping on tightly packed groups of players, and that's also the fire morph, but it's nothing extremely great really, just a relatively mediocre ultimate that sounds cool while it's dropping.

I only use meteor/db on my sorc, and I prefer meteor there cause it’s much more satisfying to nuke some noob from range than to come at them and smack them in the head with a light stick.
