Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• ESO Store and Account System for maintenance – April 8, 9:00AM EDT (13:00 UTC) - 6:00PM EDT (22:00 UTC)
We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

Should I keep a certain amount of skill points ready to use for Summerset?

My understanding is that there will be atleast one new skill tree coming from the expansion, so i was just curious how many points I would need to save up so I'll have them ready.

Thanks.

Psijic skill line. 5 active abilities + Ultimate + 5 passives.
    Jewellery crafting skill line too.
So yes, everyone should keep their skillpoints.

I would imagine the new quests will award skill points just like DB and TG.
    Not to mention skyshards.

Summerset will push the total skill points in the game to over 400. That’s enough to cover whatever new skills you’d want to try out.

Jewelry crafting is likely going to be 17 skill points.

The Psijic skill line would be similar to the guild lines ... somewhere between 14 and 20 skill points.

We will find out for sure when the PTS drops.

But it is kind of safe to say that Summerset won't offer about 35 new skillpoints, so I guess people should save some :)

The typical 22 skill points for the Psyjiic Order line

I did not count the points for Jewelry Crafting, but figure that is a Craft Skill like all others, about 15 to 25 points for that. Although how many you spend in Keen Eye will change this, and you get 4 back for the Research Passive once you have researched the traits. Don't remember if there was a hireling now I think about it.

I hope so, however there are 2 skilllines comin, psijic and jewelry crafting I'd hope you get enough for both from the Chapter itself, if not, then you prob need some more points from Basegame.

    Jewelrycrafing needs estimated 22-30 Skillpoints
    Psijic needs estimated 20-30 Skillpoints.

I doubt that they add 60 Skillpoints with Summerset. 30 Skillpoints are already high, there are probably 5-7 from Skyshards, and estimated 8-10 From Psijic Questline, 8-10 From Basic Main Questline, 2 from Open Dungeons 1 from the Trial and maybe a few for Sidequests.

Oh, nice to know they will just give us the 400 in the next chapter so that I will have more than enough. :*

I find more problematic which precious skill slot I would want to give up for a Psijic skill.

    Considering Morrowind:

    - 18 Skyshards = 6 Skill Points
    - 2 Public Dungeons with Group Events = 2 Skill Points
    - Story Quests, 3? Skill Points

So Summerset will prob give about 11 Skill Points in total.

If the Psijic Order skill line requires 22 Skill Points (5 Skills, 5 Passives and 1 Ultimate) and the Jewelry Craft is the same as the other Equipment Crafts (Blacksmith, Clothing, Woodworking) then that'll be another 25 on top. Grand Total = 47

So you may want to save up about 36 Skill Points then

Ofc, this is all just assuming. We'll have to wait until the PTS until we can be sure how many we'll actually need for the 2 new skill trees and how many we'll get from Summerset

its a bit smaller only goes up to 5 rater than 10 and it only goes to three in speeding up research.
So its 20 fully developed, add 3 for hireling and you will want hireling for the mats in the start, add some for keen eye who might be needed depending on how the resources look.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.
