Add on for motif locking?

So, there is an add on called "not a craftsman' which when used with Itemsaver is supposed to stop you from using recipes or motifs.
I've installed both. They're checkmarked as active. I allow out of date add ons. But, it doesn't seem to be working. I've made a couple of ooops with learning motifs on the wrong characters and i'd love to fix that!
