So, I noticed tonight that my character's Crystal Blast spell wasn't knocking foes down the way it's supposed to. I tried opening my attacks with it in case there was some kind of immunity thing happening, but no dice, it just wasn't doing it anymore.
Someone in chat told me that ability was removed.
When did this happen? What on earth FOR? Crystal Blast is a spell with a lengthy casting time, it needed the brief stun to compensate for that. Why in blazes was this removed?

Crystal Blast (Crystal Shards morph): Increased the splash damage of this morph by approximately 25%.

We wanted to make this morph worth the time spent casting, so we’re increasing the area of effect damage to make it worth the risk of throwing into a pack of enemies.
Crystal Shards: This ability and the Crystal Fragments morph no longer stun the enemy hit. The Crystal Blast morph continues to stun the initial enemy hit.

We wanted to separate the function of abilities into more distinct roles. Crystal Shards was overloaded since it had high damage, instant cast, stun, reduced cost. Now if the sorcerer wants a stun they have to either go through a cast time or deal reduced damage.@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

✭✭✭✭✭@Morgha_Kul the patch notes help but Crystal Blast you said, that DOES have a stun. Shards the base skill and Frags does not.

end game players never use the morph with cast time, its a waste of time and DPS people use crystal fragments and only use it when it procs, which is when your hands turn purple(also a sound), there is a chance to PROC when you cast any other spell
hard casting is using it when its not a proc and it has the cast time ( which is frowned upon)
