Worm Cult Drop Rate Thread

Over 200 boxes last night and netted 1.
72 writs before work this morning and got 0.

PLEASE stop with the extremes and artificial rarity... We can have something between "sit in a delve and spam heavy attacks to get free lootz" and "do 200 dailies and then gfy; try again tomorrow scrub".

Also, it doesn't make it "fun" when you have to rely on luck during a limitied duration event.

I got two pages in the first box, but obviously didn't keep up that rate.

This hurts. Spent over 12 hours yesterday working on dailies and still only have one page... If the odds don't increase a bit this is definitely going to be the worst event they ever made.

80 gift boxes with 4 toons = 5 Worm Cult motifs. Bow, boots, chest, legs and can't remember the 5th one.

I opened 40 boxes got 1 motif (chests) in first box then nothing else. Many people are reporting only getting one motif in their first box only. Seems suspicious. The drop rate seems rather poor. I just ended up buying about 7 of them that were listed cheap (30-40,000). Will do the same tonight for the remaining ones I need. Prices were all over the board: 30,000-500,000 with an average of 100,000. There was definitely a lot of relisting going on last night.

I have the same feeling too, the initial boxes drop are fantastic like worm cult etc, then the more boxes you open the more junk they are. I think there might be a cool down on boxes, or maybe a cap on drop rate for the day.

Based on posts here and my own observations I'm not going to do anything different then I normally do anyway. I got 4 WC chapters out of 37 39 boxes last night. That is across 3 accounts, and each account got WC in the first or second box. Hopefully this wasn't just a one day/first day thing and each day you have an increased chance to get a chapter early on (if that's actually what's going on here).

Edit: forgot about the 2 Wrothgar group boss dailies.

It definitely feels weighted, but this is nothing new for ESO.
I feel like playing in a skinner box, but my observation is that the "timer" resets after 1 day, and your chance to get Worm Cult increases again.

Also for some reason it helps not to spam opening boxes when you have a couple. When I wait 3-5 seconds between each box I get one motif about every 2nd to 4th box, otherwise often nothing for 10 or more.
But this is probably just me going finally completely insane.

not having much luck with it today. got 1 page on ps4 and so far none on pc. do have 4 more characters to go.

i think when this event is over worm is going to be expensive

After doing all writs today on ALL my 11 characters I dropped only 1 worm page, very disappointing I must say.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Are those terrible drop rates correct and intended? Because with this rate of doing so many daily quests and getting only 1 page (if even that) a day, there is absolutely no chance of dropping all pages since the event is shorter than the amount of pages needed. I feel very disapointed and getting a headache out of doing so many daily quests (about 60 just today only by writs and around 40 quests with one character yesterday + 30 with alt writs) I dropped only 2 pages so far, each one different day. I literally spend whole afternoon and yesterday afternoon + night doing this with no luck. Its not fun, its tireing and with the rapidly dropping price of other motives its not rewarding either.

1:50 today so i guess its pretty balanced. (3 yesterday)

One of the guild reported he got 4:50. So its totaly random i guess.

My gut says the more you spend in the crown shop the better your drop rates are.

I cracked about 140 boxes yesterday across 14 characters. Two WC pages.

So far I am up to about 60 boxes on 5 characters today. Zero today.

Like so many others... I popped 2 WC motif pages early on yesterday (over 24 hours ago from now) and haven't seen one since.

Character appearance is my biggest appeal with this game, so this is a big deal to me.

Even if this rate turns around for some mystical reason, I am still going to need to take a break from this game afterward. Grinding this stuff out is just tiresome and draining.

So, judging by many of the above postings, it looks like the average player will get only one Worm Cult page per day per account. :'(

So, if you are only after the Worm Cult motif and don't want to waste your mats, just do dailies on one character till you get a page, then quit for the day and try again the next.

3 wc motifs out of 60 boxes so far.
My friend opened around 200 boxes and got nothing.
The rng is rather weird...

My very first box had Wormcult Legs in it, no Wormcult since. I'm not sure how many boxes total I've opened but I've only done crafting writs and only on two characters so far, the two characters getting fully certified just yesterday, so it's 9 to 15 boxes. I got two other motif pages as well, Daggerfall belts (whee?) and ... um ... I forget, sorry. Beyond that, just mats iirc.

This is ridiculous. Day 2 and I'm already frustrated with the drop rate for this.

First day I had roughly... 100 boxes. I could have gotten more of them, but I only did dailies on one character since I was at work for most of the day. 2 Worm Cult pages dropped (Staves and Maces).

Day 2 and I've already had around 75 boxes by doing writs (excluding provisioning) on all my characters. I have yet to do any dailies yet since I haven't even had breakfast yet and it's already near noon. Of those boxes, I think I had maybe 10 motifs drop. No Worm Cult pages.

Making an event exclusive motif with a drop rate this low is just stupid. Just plain stupid. I actually cannot express how annoyed I am right now without cursing worse than a sailor and this is only the second day.
I'm only assuming this means the motif will be coming to a Crown Crate eventually. Why else make the drop rate so low?

Like just about everyone else got one right away, then another after about 40

So far 70ish total with 2 worm cult.

Got in addition: perfect roe, a few other motifs, that Chief's Secret Recipe so there's a few odd drops too
