Error 500 Pre Purchase Summerset Fail

I tried to purchase the Digital Collectors Upgrade for Summerset through the ESO store and when it reached the part about confirming your order (before you enter the payment information) it just continued to "process" for several minutes and then finally dumped me out to the Error 500 page.
Is the site down or is there just so many people trying to buy the expansion that the servers are bogged down?
In other words, should I keep attempting to pre-purchase or wait for a fix?
