Any ideas how to make that much gold in 2 months? Before outfit stations and storage came out i used to have my main income by telvar farming, however since IC have turned into BGs x10 that is no longer an option.

Since im starting up a business with a friend of mine i have to "retire" from the game for a long time, and as a guildmaster i want to finish my set crafting collection for my guildhall before i "retire" so my guildmembers have all they need.

So im in dire need of some inspiration on how to make that much gold in such a short time, any suggestions? :)

If you already have 20M worth of highly merchantable inventory (gold mats, big master writs, etc.), then you can give it a go yourself. Otherwise, you'll need to get donations from your guildmates. I can't imagine how else you're going to do it.

Why not try making the equivalent of that irl, OP?

Jokes aside, I think you'd forego a lot of -actual- gameplay like combat etc. if you were to only focus on 20m gold in 2 months. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be possible but again, you'd lose out a lot more in the game if you were to just pursue that. You might just get close to that in 2 months by continuously flipping precious items like tempers and the likes.

On a more serious note, don't stress yourself or put too much effort in building 'virtual' wealth that's not even close to tangible to real life terms. If you'd still like to do that then just promise me not to crack your head over this okay?

20 million in 2 months is really only going to happen one of two ways that I can think of.

One, you are simply going to need to flip items, buy low, sell high. This is how must people that are stupid rich in this game got there. They go from trader to trader, search for anything that is a good value and flip it. It does take some startup capital and a little market knowledge, but it is certainly doable.

The other way is a straight up grind. There are lots of grinds out there that all seem to net around 50k an hour (thieving, mat farming, etc). Well, 400 hours in 2 months is certainly doable if you treat it like a full time job...

That said, if its a guild you plan to leave, you might want to ask for donations. What you really need are writ vouchers, and you might be surprised how many of them are sitting in your guildmate's inventory. I know when my guild, ETU, went for all the crafting stations that I donated a bunch of low level vouchers. This sounds like a pretty daunting task without some help.

No offense but if you retiring from game I doubt your guildies will remain in guild unless of course tbere was someone ready to take the crown from you and put the same wrk you put in ( highly doubt it )

You need some startup for this but it will absolutely make you 20mill+ in 2 months if you are dedicated to it.

Go to all the popular zones and say "WTB all your crafting materials PST offer" or something similar.
Listen to their offer, if it's good buy it if not offer them 10-15% below TTC low suggested price. If they refuse politely decline.
Sell for TTC high suggested price.
    Profit.

The trick is learning what materials are worth buying, what time of day people are generally going to be more receptive to trading you their materials, what zones are worth going to, and fine tuning your pricing.

Keep in mind this in NOT easy but it is highly effective. To do this efficiently you'll have to make spreadsheets with the items you're flipping and update prices regularly.

Hmm i never thought about that, i might give it a go, would it be more profitable than flipping in guild stores?

Green quality stolen loot - 100 gold per
Blue quality stolen loot - 250 gold per

Get 14 characters. Murder NPCs - sell 140 items of loot per day per character. Green quality or higher only.

    100 gold (green-quality) x 140 items = 14,000 gold

    14,000 gold x 14 characters = 196,000 gold total per day

5 days to make about 1mil.
100 days to make about 20mil.

Assuming you sell lots of blue items, maybe like 30-40 items each time...... well you’ll get 20mil in 2 months :)

Way more. You will typically get a MUCH larger volume of materials to flip doing this than you would spending the same amount of time searching guild stores.

There's no point in spending 24/7 spamming zone chats either, so you can always go around later and search guild vendors too if you want a little extra income.

in 2 months.....grind and sale everything via the merchant assistant other than sought after motif or perfect set items via guild store.

I don't know if you'll have 20mil for sure but you'd make some mil doing that.
Id caution that focus as you'll burn out from playing the game but its possible as there are those spending 200k per motif page

Legally I would recommend finding one or more item types that is a) in demand (i.e. sells quickly) and b) sells for a high enough price. Then it's a matter of optimising your grind for that item type and having a couple of well-positioned traders (and the art of setting the right selling price, of course).

For instance, suppose you settled on blue and purple Spriggan jewelry. Ok, that means setting up a dolmen "chain" in Bankgorai, and with any luck you should hit at least 50k worth of merchandise per hour. Or perhaps you've decided to go after blacksmith tempers - then you need a well-defined farming route so that you could gather at least a few hundred units of ore per hour. Or maybe you want to grind out Morag Tong motifs - ok, then you need a stable of 5-10 characters who can rotate the Vvardenfell dailies. And so on, and so on, and so on.

With all these, I think on average you'll still end up with something like 50k-100k per day unless you go on 8-hour farming sprees regularly. But at that rate 20 million in two months is certainly achievable (potentially) if you pick the right types of items to grind and set up your grinding pattern well enough to minimise time per unit of merchandise.

    ----

And then, of course, there is Ebay. But I would never, ever, ever, ever even hint at suggesting that anyone does anything in violation of the EULA.

In two months, Summerset will be released, and crown store gifting will be available. Not sure how the TOS will work out, but maybe there will be a loophole where you can gift crown store items in exchange for gold. You'll just have to open your wallet.

3rd is just straight up gold farming from enemies but you have to be built a certain way... 20 million in 2 months... mental wise strain of doing the grinding is a real thing. Can be possible but I highly suggest against money farming like that.

I heard guildies talking about this today and this makes me very happy. My spouse has accrued thousands of crowns since he never gets around to canceling his sub. His subscription goes on and on. I would love to be gifted some of the proceeds from his account. No details on this yet?

    (20 million)/(60 days) = ~333,333 gold per day

It's not an unreasonable number, but holy moly that's going to take some dedication. Like I'm talking full-time job level of dedication. So unless you're willing to put in ALL those hours, then my suggestion is to alleviate some of the cost by asking for donations from your guild members (gold, expensive items, master writs, etc). Honestly, if nobody is willing to donate anything to help setup the guild hall, then they don't deserve the guild hall in the first place.

Other than that, I think flipping items is the only realistic way for you to actually pull this off alone. Others have made alternative suggestions, but I really don't think you're going to hit 333,333 gold per day using those other suggestions. The mental drain alone from farming is going to drive you mad. Maybe try a combination to spice things up? Ask for donations, farm, flip items, steal, murder, just make sure to hit a daily or weekly goal that you've set.

Do the guild even want every crafting station?

DLC ones help, along with transmute station and in fact all the decent mundus stones with a banker and Merchant are a bigger draw for me / many folks. All three DPS dummies too.

Keeping guilds healthy have many other aspects too them.

And a stock of 20 million in the guild bank would ensure the guild maintains a decent trader when you go. Which is pretty vital to decent memerbship. If you blow that security on crafting tables you may not have spent it best way.

Raffles are of course a great option. I've seen guild banks swell millions in days with them. 5k deposit for a ticket in a 100k raffle. Then a 20k ticket for a 500k prize. You will be surprised.

But id be open with the guild what the funds will pay for.

I think one key difference between flipping resources and most of the other suggestions in this thread is that once you establish a good system for flipping, it takes up maybe an hour every day to make a ton of money. Most of the other suggestions would require you devote every moment of your free time (including sleep) for the next 2 months.
