Nightblade-Deathweaver Skills and Tips?

I had abandoned my Breton Nightblade months ago because she was so frail and feeble...like an incompetent porcelain doll compared to my Dunmer Sorcerer who kicked all kind of butt from Day 1. It takes me many long minutes of wailing on an enemy to kill it, and I can easily get killed by mere Assassin Beetles and Jackals... and this is at Level Champion-184 (don't ask me how I even got to that level! Pure frustrated tenacity). Anyway, after the update, I decided to give the Skills Adviser a shot, and I visited the local Rededication Shrine and cleared out my pathetic skill set.

Now I'm trying to follow the Deathweaver suggestion line. It seems counter-intuitive to a Nightblade to go for a staff-only approach, but I'm sticking with this because I'd rather not completely abandon this character after reaching Champion-184. She really REALLY sucks though. She is so weak and flimsy. I'm tired of getting killed every 5 minutes, and not being able to kill any enemies without outside help.

Has anyone else had luck with the Deathweaver skill line, and if so, do you have any suggestions as far as build and technique?

    ????????

Upon reading this, I am suddenly no longer quite so certain that I am, in fact, sober. Nevertheless, I shall attempt.

Also, too, Nightblades in general are not what I would describe as fragile. Both varieties have Siphoning Strikes, Stam can stack heals from the DW weapon line while Mag has two spammable heals (one of which is also a HoT) plus a 20k (if done right) spammable shield from the LA line. Mechanics will still kill you, of course, but assassin beetles??

I mean.....................are you actually wearing any gear? Using any skills? Swapping any bars? Mundus? CP allocation? Rotation? Because getting "easily" killed by assassin beetles at CP184 implies to me that something is wrong that has nothing to do with the class.

Ingame skill advisor mostly just says, that you have to morph a skill to the magicka or stamina version, because you decided go magicka (or stamina).
I would suggest you to have a look into some nightblade build videos with good explanations. Otherwise i would recommend joining a pvp guild, where you will find a lot of experienced players, who can help you building up your character efficiently.

Oh boy... well first off, understand the skill advisor builds are very beginner level, they are new player guidlines to give loose ideas on how to approach the various roles with that class. No one is going to offer insight to deathweaver because no one would even consider playing around that build with any seriousness.

Secondly there is absolutely nothing counterintuitive about a life stealing blood magic esque caster using staves. Nightblades are not exclusivley rogues or stealth oriented.

I have not read the skills adviser at all as I had both magic and stamina lvl 50 nightblades before that came out.

Both have builds similar to the ones Jarryzz linked. Neither gets killed outside of PvP or vet Dungeons.

With a Breton, I'd go magic since you have the bonuses for it.

ya, I have a few things different from the Alcast build for magic. Like Destructive clench w/ a fire staff (knockback) instead of Cripple because I like to mitigate a lot of damage by keeping melee foes off me. Have gear focused more on ultimate generation for burst. If you are finding it still too fragile, take off inner light from your AoE bar and put on Mirage. Sometimes do that to solo public dungeons. AoE is still enough you'll burn trash plenty fast and have inner light for the bosses.

Alqu - Sneaky bosmer dps (sNB)
Allqu - Whirling dervish redguard dps (Sorc)
Ocuili - Devout dunmer templar burninator (Temp)
Ocuilin - Secretive dunmer dps/heals (mNB)
Tletl - Drunken orsimer tank (DK)
