A couple days ago I had huge bounty on me and got caught by a guard indoors. Couldn't escape. So he killed me and took everything I had and 85k gold.

Then I tuck my tail between my legs and have a fence pay off my bounty.
The highest about 800ish, thanks to the Thieves Guild "sneak" quests which has NPCs spotting me because of their accursed X-Ray vision.

How was that paid, to guard or to a fence? Willingly to guard or confiscated from the dead body?
I went after that 100k achievement once and only discovered it didn’t log it if it was from a death - so I suspect it would have to be through a fence, but I want to be sure.
@ZOS_GinaBruno can you eliminate the uncertainty on that so we who accept the challenge know what must be done for our effort to be appropriately recorded?Xbox NA0 -

Other than that, maybe 200 gold? Besides, I just use the Clemeny Passive and go directly to the Refuge and take care of things there for a discount.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

✭When I was trying to get that achieve for paying bounties--and stupidly after getting all the passives to reduce bounty--the max I could get was like 9.3k. Even murdering people in broad daylight wouldn't get it any higher. I don't know if that's a bug or due to some passive, but that's the highest I've gotten or paid off.PC-NA since 2015. Armatesz✭✭✭✭✭During the jester's festival while I was helping others I wish I wrote down the full amount of bounty I got but it was around lower 100k. Honestly I don't remember how much of it I paid off but I slept off most and when I woke up I paid the rest. I have all thieves guild and dark brotherhood passives associated with it. Pretty sure I just slept like 5 hours. I remembered when I woke up I still had a bounty but honestly don't remember how much it was... pretty sure less than 100k when I woke up.Ärmätèsz

✭✭✭✭✭100k ish. to a fence. for that achievement. I don't normally build up a bounty when out stealing/stabbing. so for that one, I had to go deliberately kill a bunch of mobs in Malabar Tor. I don't like paying bounty to guards becasue they take my stuff, so I also carry a stack of pardons with me, just in case.dirty worthless casual.

that stat isn't accurate I paid a 450k two weeks ago after going for the black market mogul achievement real hard. I guess they didn't account for the last month or so.0
