If you're efficient with your daily writs, you can knock out 90 quests in about an hour-fifteen, maybe an hour-twenty.1 -

I can't imagine you did very many dailies. Last year, this event was the BEST EVENT TO EVER HAPPEN IN ESO for those ethically adverse or without the means to buy crates .
If I had to guess, I would say one motif page per 2-3 boxes or better. I completed expensive books on several toons, and even the 10th-ish alt was learning the more frequent duplicates.
The key for most people will be figuring out which dailies are the quickest.

They clearly said that event motifs would not count towards master writs, but also clearly said that crafting achievements were an important aspect to getting master writs.
Not sure which trumps which in this scenario.1 -

Just how rare are they gonna make the new motif? Sounds like we only get this event for a CHANCE at it?
As you likely know, there are no guarantees with RNG. That in mind, doing 10+ dailies on 6-8 characters a day for 2 weeks makes me feel ok about my odds.
There's no way I could do that on all my characters every day for 14 days. I'll do the daily writs on all and a delve daily or two on some.

I think the way quoted posts work here made it look like I was only responding to the event categorization, sorry! I meant to respond to both, about whether or not WC would count for writ changes.
Jessica's post makes no mention about "event" motifs being excluded from the system, only Crown Store ones. The two Crown Store exclusive motifs have coincidentally been event ones, but I always assumed that Hollowjack and Skinchanger counted for writs, and that Worm Cult would also count.Yes, Motifs that aren’t Crown Store-exclusive (including the ones added with Update 13) are factored into Motif knowledge for the chance to receive Master Writs, with the playable race cultural Motifs being the exception. You may be asked to craft items in the playable race cultural Motifs to complete a Master Writ, but they do not contribute to your chances of getting a Master Writ.
If I'm wrong, though, and Hollowjack and Skinchanger knowledge has never counted for writs, then dang.

Unbelievable. I guess, people just have different priorities in their way of enjoying the game. Reward is a good incentive. But I don't really do anything If I don't enjoy it. For the whole Jester's festival I did only Pig's quest, because I really enjoyed it. Funny way to troll the King btw. Other Jester's festival quests... meh. Of course, I didn't get Camoran Throne recipe.
The same way I enjoyed jumping in icy water or lockpicking chests with timer running or lighting up fires in Alik'r town during New Life Festival. Because these quests have interesting mechanics and interesting stories. And rewards? I liked them too. But I didn't get everything.
This time... I am a bit demotivated. Quests are the same that I do everyday, nothing new, and since they are dailies most of them have boring mechanics. Guess I will have to find some dailies I haven't done before to keep it interesting and have some chances of getting that rare motif.
