I've ran into quite a few gems in my time playing and wonder where you have met the lowest of the low?

Thanks for the "other" because it fits my answer.

No one particular place, I've encountered them everywhere. Node-ninjas, PvE elitists, PvP-epeen-wagglers, Overland, dungeons, delves etc. about equally.

Most of the time nowhere and sometimes everywhere. It's all about how you take it.

I don't understand the term 'toxic' in the online community; Sure players act rude but if its just trash talking, then IMO that isn't toxic behavior. Now if we've got genuine grief players who for example interrupt you getting a reward by using friendly fire then that's a different thing.

When I kill someone in Cyrodill after they failed ganking me and I use the laugh at me + the come get some emote, does that make me a 'toxic' player?
I remember in my Halo 3 days playing on my 50 in lone wolves I'd wreck some people and bag them all day especially when I ninja'd them.... ohh just got chills thinking about those good ol days.

Overland would probably be second ... with all the node ninjas and non-dolmen xp farmers.

The forums followed by dungeons. A lot of people in this game suffer from Bitter Vet Syndrome. I see a lot healing normal dungeons. Vets just leave newbies dead and run on. Completely oblivious that anyone else is in group. Dont let them do quests, dont wait for anyone and dont teach anyone anything.

And thats normal dungeons. ESO probably has one of the most toxic communities of any MMO i played. Dont know if thats because a big portion are new or because of the design of guilds or because you can solo a large amount of content or what. Its really sad though.

Not very often, but obnoxious people who think they are good at trials or dungeons when, in fact, they are not.

In my experience it's been Cyrodiil, hands down, that has the most toxicity. Of course, no matter where one goes in the game or forums, there will be nice players (happily, the vast majority of people in ESO) and nasty players, but the worst negativity seems to be concentrated in PVP. There, the toxic ones run the gamut from rude to obnoxious, behaving badly because they take everything way too seriously and believe there's only one way to play...their way. Thankfully, turning off zone chat and ignoring them have proven to be effective antitoxins. :)

    Let's see now...

In Cyrodiil, people sexually assault you ("teabagging").

Yeah, I'm gonna go with that.

@MaxwellC Bro them halo 3 50 days were epic, my favourite ever gaming experience.
Playing for the 50 in doubles was my particular favourite.

The toxic players in that was the ones who would attack your IP address and attempt to kick you offline. Only happened at the high levels though, more so in team slayer than doubles.
Got me thinking about that, do miss it.

Got to love children debating politics they don't understand.
I've seen some stuff in zone that made me think they were trying to get banned. Spamming racist/sexist comments in chat is not a bright idea.

Trials, these are the guys that make a huge deal over everything think they know everything and if you don't run the collective thought on meta ur trash. They wear there ugly skins like they matter and parade titles around like we all look at them and go holy CRAP ur cool.

PvP players are the smack talkers, but if you want to meet people that need the humility beat into them then start doing trials. Plenty of inflated egos in that realm.

I figured, so I didn't bother with trials....since all the gear is meant for trials.
