Dear Zenimax - Further instancing to increase difficulty for players who chose to?

So I know there have been a lot of posts from people saying that the game is too easy and a lot of backlash from the community saying that they should quit their whining and just use low level gear. I can see both sides as to change the difficulty for all players would be unfair for people who like it how it is.

However, as the game is heavily instanced already (players are separated from one another by how far through the quest line they are) I was thinking it would (probably) be super easy for ESO to just instance the game a little bit further and allow players to chose to play in instances of hostile environments (outside of towns and cities) where the enemies do more damage. People who enjoy the game as it's currently balanced are unaffected while people who seek a bit more challenge in the games that they play can enjoy the lore and story of the questlines without feeling they could be playing it by wielding chopsticks with their feet.

I’d much rather they offer in our options to disable cp and some other thing to make it harder. I standing isn’t the best way ad they did a lot to remove that long ago.

Yes, please. I also was trying to provide the idea that areas around popular spots in a zone would be as easy as it is right now, while traveling further out into the wild starts to spawn more difficult enemies. Like 80% of the players already hang out in the damn cities, so might as well give a challenge to the people that are actually out doing something.

as you said this game is already too much on instanced playthrough are we really going to isolate the playerbase further?

Well the player's don't tend to interact with each other randomly outside of the towns anyway from my experience. I doubt it would make any difference.

The problem with a system like this is that ZOS doesn't seem to be really interested in dividing the playerbase any further. That's also the reason for no seperate RP or open PvP instances.

The best you could hope for is an option to disable CP without constantly having to pay 3k gold.

Just give us veteran isntances of delves, public dungeons, and story quests. These are already instanced so it shouldn't be a problem.

Too much effort for a vocal minority who wont stop here.

These people want 'difficulty', that wont come from scaling changes. That takes re-designs, something that's simply not in the cards.

Delves and Public Dungeons are not instanced, unless what you meant was to give us instanced versions of those? I think if monsters scaled to a level post CP160, to like dungeon level, all enemies have 45K HP and up depending on who or what they where. A level 49 sees the 22.5K HP enemy, I see the 45-60-80K enemy. Keep the level scaling pre - CP increase it post, everyone wins.

There’s already a crapload of instancing in the game. I’m not a computer guru or anything, but doesn’t creating more instances also put more strain on the servers and memory usage? I know this game has already lost quite a few players due to performance issues, wouldn’t this just exacerbate the issue?

      the game is too easy

Who whom?! I'm CP 520, neither of my characters is doing overland PVE in a comfortable way.

I wish there were instances letting us choose the difficulty - simple, normal, hard, extreme, impossible and further whatever.

If they ever do make a more difficult version of overland or delves, I hope they have the same exact loot table so we don't get players in there just for the loot instead of the increased challenge. Also, not sure why players cant just try soloing group dungeons or world bosses if they want more challenge. Options are good, but the game cant do it all for you, try and make it more challenging for yourself, imo.

They are a separate instance from the overworld. They can have multiple difficulties.

So you think they should of done what guild wars did and instead of lifting everyone to cap, lower everyone to the level the area is
Eg, when a lvl 80 goes into a lvl 5 zone, they scale to level 5. So its still increasingly difficult for new players and easy enough for vets to help friends without been OP

95% of this game is quest content though. We want to be able to enjoy that as well.

That would also help people who PVP in no CP campaign. At the moment we cant enjoy dueling without spending gold on switching CP on and off.

There is no need to achieve this by using more instances. The game has built in to it level adjustment, it just needs a toggle for player to up the difficulty to hard mode.

Doing it this way a hard mode player could play with other on normal, have their enjoyment at being more of a challenge. The Normal mode player would not be overwhelmed either.

Highly instanced games isolate players from each other too much. Makes it difficult for those that need help to get it.

Indeed, the difficulty slider could just make you take more damage from enemies. Problem solved!

For the record, I am currently playing this game with no armor at all and no attribute points skilled at all and the over-world content is still only just challenging enough to be interesting. I seriously don't understand how people think this game is balanced well, but I do appreciate their right to think that.
