I think it was a really nice touch that even after "fixing" the college you can still find subtle bits of racism here and there. It's just couched as "positive racism" so it's an easier pill to swallow for these mistreated students compared to what they'd been getting until that point. Stuff like "Oh Khajiiti scouts will make an excellent addition to the Thalmor ranks!" Well gee sure let's just rob a whole people of personal agency because you think they're racially meant for a particular role. Obviously the Thalmor already had scouts before, but they were all Altmer. Altmer get a career choice but Khajiit get shoehorned into scouts? Actually, as a non-Trump-voter kind of person, I dislike it.
The idea that I'm "cheering up" those insufferably evil asses is one reason I don't enjoy the quest. (Another reason is that it has none of the humor or interactivity of the mud ball analog.)
It's a pure grind to me.1 -
