how about for everyone who already own morrowind chapter get 1 month of free vip add to their account when pre order summerset? i mean it is not much, it also work as some sort of free trial, which may encourage more player into vip.. It also shows that ZOS care about veteran loyal player.........

    Why?

Because an old chapter gets added as a limited incentive to pre-order the next chapter?

Get over it. That’s how mmo’s Work. You’re not owed anything. No refunds, no free ESO+, no gestures of goodwill because as it turns out, this is not a wrong thing for them to do.

because they are giving out morrowind as part of the pre order. or they could give us a code for morrowind so we can gift to friend. we did bought morrowind the second time.. did we not?

p.s. one month of vip is way cheaper then the price of morrowind. even when it is on sale.

It’s a limited time incentive to those who might be new. To those who never played Morrowind who were considering Summerset. This offer expires when Summerset launches.

It won’t affect your game in any way.

as i said pre order summerset. so this one month of free vip will also expire before summerset launches. and this only apply when you pre order summerset and already own morrowind.

Should you also get some sort of reimbursement or bonus when a game you bought at launch comes out with a new, cheaper bundle a year later? No?

Then why should you get one here?

another one of these grow up people you got what you paid for you don't get anything else because it's offered cheaper or free with something else. Seriously you people think that this need to come back to reality and land of common sense.

i don't think it's being bought twice. i think it's bringing newbies up to speed for the health of the game.

let's say my daughter joins little league. now, i've been throwing the ball around with her since she could run, so she's got a nice leather glove, all oiled and worn-in and comfortable, and she knows what she's doing with it. some of the kids on the team have never played before, so the coach hands out some crappy vinyl gloves so the kids can learn to catch.

if my daughter threw a stink so she could take home something she felt entitled to, just because the other kids got one, knowing full well that her year with her glove made hers better, i'd make her wear that vinyl glove around her neck.

one question. when you buy iphone 6 at release you pay more. but later on they have a promotion if you buy iphone 7 you will also get a free iphone 6. but this only apply to the user who don't already own iphone 6. as a owner of iphone 6 would you feel right to be placed on a disadvantage for buying their old product at release?

like i said they could give one month of free vip. or give us the code to the morrowind chapter. either will be fine.

I believe that people that already have Morrowind should be given an alternative incentive. I had suggested in another thread that an exclusive mid size home be included as an incentive to purchase if Morrowind was already owned. I think it's just a better marketing and public relations approach.

I know we may come from different consumer cultures around the world, but to me, I feel an imbalance compared to a player that did not previously purchase Morrowind separately. I feel like they are getting more for the same dollar spent than I am. I want and expect something different as Morrowind has zero additional value to me at this time. I already own it and I can't gift it to another player.

I have a right to make purchasing decisions any way that I wish. I'm posting this so that Zeni might better understand what is going on in the minds of at least a few of their consumers.

**Please don't try to explain that I already got what I paid for and blah blah blah. Just keep it to yourself.

As he stated every MMO does this, and eventually they release groups/package deals. You realize if they didn't do this stuff it would cost somebody nearly 1,000$ USD to get into Everquest if they wanted. Even WoW would be like 500$ to get into it?

You bought the game, now they are releasing content and giving people who want to get into the game access to the previous content. They all do it, it's not going to change you are owed nothing.

the reason question is. does pre order come with morrowind. if yes, give us code. if no , then change the wording. if you are not giving us the code for morrowind then give us something else instead. is that too hard to understand?

like you are buying bread that come with free cheese. when the seller refuse to give your "free cheese" because you already have one. wouldn't you complain? like i said, either morrowind code so we can gift to friend. or give us something else to compensate for it.

I have no idea what 'consumer culture' would actually have this expectation. Stuff gets cheaper over time, things go on sale, people get 'incentives' to encourage purchases.... in almost no case* do people who bought something earlier get any consideration. (for reference, my 'consumer culture' is US)

    * the one case I can think of is when something goes on sale a short time (say, under a week?) after a person bought it at full price. In that case, you can frequently talk to customer service to get refunded the difference.

I'm willing to bet zos would give you that one free month if they could wipe all mats, experience, gear, and achieves as well as motifs and collectibles you got from the last year of owning morrowind.

Wait, that's not fair? You shouldn't lose all the rewards you got for purchasing the expac at launch? So... what you're really saying is...

You were compensated for buying early compared to new arrivals?

are you suggesting that everyone bought morrowind at pre order? i did, but several of my friend bought morrowind only a month ago, now it is free with pre order of next expansion. have you ever think of them? and how they might feel? how about give everyone who did not pre order morrowind a refound for their morrowind chapter when they pre order summerset?

that is not how mmo work, does wow hand out free expansion when they release a new one? if we are paying for it, then give us the code, if not compensate for it.

I think it's a good system. It lets you avoid an expensive chapter and wait for the next one if you feel the price isn't worth the features.

For example, if the new skill line isn't worth it, and you don't care for pve, then why bother spending 30 bucks now to get it? You can always have guild mates craft you rings for builds or buy the newest sets from the trader. Then when the next chapter comes along that matches what you want to buy, you can pick that up and get jewelcrafting for free (which basically makes the next chapter half off because you are getting to for the price of one).

    Edit:

Also, you can always playtest the features on PTS so you can always play the chapter for free if you have to catch up on the lore. And pts also let's you test drive builds so you can see what items you need and setup how much money you need to earn in order to buy those pieces.

is it really free? there is no such thing as free stuff in the world. when you pre order you get these perk, they are included in the pre order price. am buying morrowind with summerset. and i want my morrowind code so i can gift to friend. is there anything wrong with the logic? or i don't get what i deserved just because i spend the bulk at release? does it make sense to you?

p.s. am not asking for anything free, am just asking for stuff i bought with my hard earn cash. is it so hard to understand?

    Yes.

If the basis of your argument is that you feel ripped off for purchasing morrowind only for it to go on sale later, sorry. That stinks. It really does and I can understand that.

But even if you bought morrowind a month ago, you have 3+ months of head start. That is your compensation.

I'm afraid I don't agree with the stance payment is not final. I'd dread companies saying the same, then charging me for coffee I didn't pay enough for ten days prior to their price hike.

WoW for instance. I didn't get the last 2 expansions before Legion, but I was able to play in those regions when I got Legion.
